TweetIF ANYTHING GH WOULD BE ABOUT THE ONLYTHING I WOULD SAY IS GOOD FOR HIM TO TAKE NOW.....I AM SURE OTHERS WILL CHIME IN.....BUT GH LOOKS LIKE THE ONLY THING FOR NOW THAT WOULD HELP HIM AT ALL....
TweetI have a friend that has had many surgeries on his back. He has had 70% of the lower three disks removed and has been in great pain for some time now. He has had issues with his back ever since we were in high school and it has come to the point that the doctors tell him there is nothing more they can do. He was in a wheel chair for a number of months went to a walker and is now up and about on his own but now he is look towards AAS for some help on strenghting his back since he figures it will help with some of the pain. He has to pop 2 or 3 pain pills just to get to sleep. (probably additcted now) He really wants to get away from all the docs medicine.
He is looking towards GH and I have no clue if any thing will help him. With all the pain medicine and all the other stuff that the docs have had him on for years now has had its toll on his liver and that is something to watch. Do you think GH would help or any other types of things??
This is kind of a weird situation so any input would be greatly appreciated!
Thanks!

TweetI don't know if GH would help him, but it wouldn't hurt either. Has he looked into any other pain managment methods? He may also be suprised at how much a holistic approach may help.
TweetI didnt even think about a holistic approach that might help him. I dont know if there is anything around where he is but I will ask him. Right now he is living out in the middle of wheat fields so his options are pretty limited.
Tweethe could also benefit from a tens machine (if covered by ins or he can afford a good one), moist heat guafaisen dm at high doses, ice, ab work, walking if possible, massage if he can tolerate it.
Some herbs that may help are ginger extract, willow bark, Capsaicin, Devil's Claw, Curcumin, Boswellia, valerian and feverfew. He can also benefit from some dietary stuff like EFA's, glucosomine/chondroitin, msm, gla and 5htp.
TweetI would suggest looking into an internal TENS installed in the back
Tweethe tried to have something put in his back that sends electrical pulse or something but did nothing for him it actually caused more pain and discomfort for him especially in his legs I dont know if that is what you are talking about.
TweetI have him on 1500mgs of glucosomine and 1000mgs of chondroitin and he takes about 3 grams of msm right now. The willows bark did nothing for him. He hasnt tried the other things yet so that is also something to look into.
TweetBack problems are no good to say the least. My mother has had 5 back sugeries that I know of. Maybe 6 now.
Anyway -
1) Did they fuse those vertabrae where the worked on the three disks? I assume they would have had to because of the amount of material removed but that is a valid first question.
2) How long ago was his last back surgery?
3) You mentioned the discs were what they removed but did they also take some of the actual vertabrae with it?
4) Depending on when his last surg. was and what they were actually performing the surg. for makes a diff too.
If they were removing the disk materail because it was impinging on the nerve then there is nerve damage. If it has been since high school it may well be irreversible. I don't know his age or what the reason for the surg were.
Now I am hesitant like others to suggest anything more because without knowing a little more it is hard to do. That and we're not docs. Not that it means jack because most are simply making guesses as the rest of us are. But my point is in order to make a safer "guess" it would be prudent to have the questions answered I have listed above.
Like I said my mother has had at least 5 back surgeries. I have had 2.
I've been around this crap for the better part of 25 years so I can relate to some of the misery he is going through. I truly commend him on wanting to get off the pain dope and try a better, more viable alternative.
My mother is so stuck in her ways that she just takes more dope and so on.
Get the answers to the questions if you can and feel free to shoot me an email of PM if you want.

Tweetok I dont know all the answers but this is what I know. They fused the disks together, the last back surgery was about a year ago it was some type of experimental type of surgery I guess.
I dont know about the vertabrae but I do know that there was damage to the nerve and he has problems with I think his left leg. He is 26 years old and has been having troblem since he was 16 never was able to play football b/c of it even though he really wanted to. Wanted to become a pilot but he obviously cant.
I will try and find out ...
TweetOK - keep us posted.

TweetThis is what he just told me...
The took half of the 3 vertabre but in the process the cut the nerve that was being pinched. he is thinking that the GH will help regenerate some of the cells in his spine area from the nerve damage
TweetTHAT IS WHAT I WAS REFERRING TO. I CAN TELL YOU FROM PERSONAL EXPERIENCE. THAT HE MAY FIND HE IS IN MUCH LESS PAIN IF HE GETS OFF THE MEDS.
TweetHmmm . . . Like the others have already said, if anything will help him, perhaps GH will. I wish him the best of luck in his recovery.
Tweetthe nerve damage is a tough one bro. Im sure that is why he has the pain. You say they cut the nerve? Damn. Is he doing any rehab exercising? I know my dad has had lower back surgery and he gets stiff back there and it gives him problems if he lays around and isnt active. GH could help in theory because it regenerates tissue but I have to look into it more.
