TweetI've had nextel for years because of work, and their service lately has gone to shiot. I got a cingular phone a while back thinking the service would be better and it was for a few weeks and then the same old crap. I'd call nextel and tell them that you are going to go somewhere else, and see what they can work out with you.

TweetIf thats your only prob...thats not much. Just watch your minutes. I don't get any free incomming unless its someone that also Verizon. Is this plan a national plan, cause if it is its damn good. I switched from Cingular, because there were too many dropped calls or i would get incomming calls and instead of the cell ringing it would go right into v-mail and i wouldnt find out unless i checked and it wasn't my phone. No complaints with Verizon, except that they don't have alot of flexability with their national plans.

TweetWell I have 500 mins.. with that free incoming calls from anywhere in the world.. free nextel to nextel and nextel to sprint.. free after 9..and free weekends.. but the dropped calls, poor customer service.. this spending limit bullshit.. i've had it with them..

also when someone sends you a txt msg im a big txt msg user.. you receive it after a fukin hour..

TweetI had Sprint when I lived in Austin and it worked great there. I moved out to Midland and Sprint sucks a big one out here. I switched to Alltel and love them along with thier prices only things is thier customer service sucks. I think every carriers service sucks nowdays though.

TweetI have T-Mobile, no complaints, a few drops but everyone does. Been with them forever! I find the closer to an Interstate (Highway) the better the service.

TweetI just switched to Verizon after having Nextel for 5 years. I'm happy with the phone and service so far. The phone I got is worth $350 and I got it for free, plus the guy hooked me up with a case, car adapter, and the bluetooth headset all for $20 so it was good deal. The phone I got is the new LG8300, great phone.

that's a helluva deal bro.. I like that phone.. but if they don't give me a good one for free. I will probably go with that Nokia.. its around $30..

any reason why you parted ways with nextel ?

TweetWell it was $50 but with the $50 mail in rebate it's free. I pay $69.99 for 900 minutes plus the free weeknights and weekends of course, and $10 for 500 text and pix. And it's free for all Verizon to Verizon customers too obviously. Most of my friends have Verizon so it works out good.
I didn't buy it at a Verizon store, I got this deal at a store here called 6th Ave. and Electronics, so you gotta see what stores have what deals in your area.

I was thinking about getting that 450 min plan for $39.99 and adding either 5 or 10$ txt msg service to it.. depends how much you talk on the phone..

One thing that stands out with Nextel is free incoming.. and Cingular's rollover mins. Tmobile/Verizon don't offer these things.. and that Chocolate phone looks yummy.
