That surprised the hell out of me. I don;t know why because it was bound to happen to him sooner than later. He had more balls than brains but it made some good tv! RIP

My thoughts exactly. The guys on the news were saying that there are approx. 14 deaths associated with sting rays ever recorded. His show was for entertainment and there's not much entertainment value in a docile creature so I'm sure they made sure the sting ray was good and pissed before he jumped in there.

The "Media" may cause even the most rationale of individuls, to lose touch with the most basic of survival tactics... He was always on the "edge" and should have relented after having children who would've appreciated him being around while the grew up!!! Sad loss.....

Tweet100% of his money earned went to the conservation of wild animals. He sparked interest in the minds of adolescents and elderly. In my opinion, he is one of the "unsung hero's" in todays society who deserves the recognition he is getting.
