TweetAt least he sounded somewhat intelligent. He is still a YAHOO though. Synthol abusing YAHOO.
TweetLast night at 11:30 on CN8, Gregg Valentino was on TV talking about his steroid abuse and such. He was actually pretty down to earth and on the users side with steroids. He was arguing the fact that steroids shouldn't be classified along the same lines as heroine and cocaine. That people generally don't kill other people for steroids, and that the government doesn't regulate the use of cigarettes, alcohol, etc.... He actually made some really good points and had the interviewer thinking. Then of course, they had some hypocrite on who abused steroids for many years who travels the country telling people about the dangers. He was a whacko. Him and Valentino were on totally opposite ends of the spectrum.

Tweetat least he was taking up for the topic and not being two faced and hypocritical. the general public doens't want to hear that though. i was watching these 2 fools on letterman last night. i think they were the authors of the barry bonds book or something like that. a couple of fools if you ask me.
Tweetwell, I didn't see it, yet, I've seen valentino before, and I really like the guy, comes across as very stand up to me, and readily admits what he did to his arms were stupid, he also says he never did synthol, just 3000 mg's of eq a week for years in them arms
i also like his column in md
TweetMy exact sentiments. He's not the best image for the sport of bodybuilding. However, he was very stand up and didn't try to hide anything. He talked about how stupid it is for a 16 year old to even think about using steroids. Yet, how steroids could be a slight edge over a college scholarship or not. He argued many good points, and left the interviewer almost speechless at times. He spoke how I felt. I always felt like you can walk into a McDonalds 16 times a day and eat 16 Big Macs in a day, and no one will stop you. As Morgan Spurlock made known in the documentary "Super Size Me", McDonalds food can kill you in 60 days if eaten every day. You can walk into a liquor store and buy 3 bottles of vodka a day and drink them. You'll be dead in less than 6 months. But someone wants to try and beautify their body by using steroids, and everyone goes in an uproar.Originally Posted by trip

TweetAlthough I'm a firm opposer of ever personally consuming steroids, I don't see what the big deal is. Anything in Moderation generally speaking is ok. Of course you will always have people that go overboard and don't know when enough is enough (thats one of the reasons I won't allow myself to get started). I don't think it should be banned solely on the fact that people abuse it. Otherwise they should ban food, cigarettes and alcohol.
It's just the damn government people trying to dictate what you can and can't do. They'll try anyway they can, to slowly take away your rights to be a free thinking adult.
