Tweeti dont know we just got lucky with our house and it is great.
TweetWe all move (I move alot) and we seem to have alot of people involved in real estate on the board. So give your tips from 'learning the hard way' that involve buying, building and moving.
The first house my wife and I moved into, the realator told us there was a sexual offender within 3 miles of our home (required by law), we asked where he lived - she "didn't know". After we moved in we learned he was right across the street - he was into molesting little boys. Thankfully we didn't have kids at the time. I check that now!
I lived in a house with 15 yard duct work for the dryer ventilatioin which had two 90' degree angles - required cleaning every 6 months and burned up my dryer motor. I prefer dryers vents on the outside wall now.

I met a guy the other day that built his own home. I live in the south so most the houses are built on slabs. He designed his utility room to be 2" lower than the rest of the slab to cut insurance premiums.
TweetI'M NOT TO FAMILIAR W/ THE MARKETING SIDE OF SHIOT OR FINANCING, BUT I DESIGN AND BUILD HOMES ALL DAY.
