TweetThe charger looks like a 3 on a 1-10, and id give the camaro a 7.5. Not a fan of the muscle car cause they just dont have the speed and handling of some other cars you can get. Much rather have a 4cyl, 2.0 turbo integra or civic any day... Thats where you get real power on the strip and track. Probobly half the price to.

How do you figure that's where you get real power for half the price? You can pick up a 93 Mustang for under $5000 and it will hand any 4 cyl car for the same price it's ass! To add a turbo to a civic or integra will atleast cost you $3000 after tuning and bigger injectors. A decent civic or integra will run you about 4-5 thousand dollars, unless your talking about a shit can with 100k plus miles and body dents galore. Dollar for Dollar a Mustang, Camaro, or Trans am is your best bet if your looking for all out power and acceleration. If you truly go to the track you know this then.

Sure a turbo integra beat my truck in the 1/4 mile run but he only ran a 13.3. A guy I know with the exact same truck as me put a supercharger on his truck and was running 12.8 in the 1/4 with a single in dual out maganflow exhaust & a drop in K&N filter. No other mods. That's insane to run that fast with just three mods. I'd love to see an integra or civic pull those numbers with just three mods!

TweetIm saying, if you know all about the b-series engines in civics, integras, and cr-v's, then you can build yourself a 9 second civic for around 13 grand. You take the cr-v's b20 2 litre block, the civic's b16a v-tec head (or integra b18 head), put them together with an oil line conversion, add a b16 tranny, drop it into a 98 civic and you have a mid 13 second car just like that. Go ahead and build it up with turbo pisons, rods, cams, exhaust, intake, and then drop down a big ass turbo and you and put down some low 10's. After some fine tunning and adjustment you can put down 9's (with slicks of course). This can easily be done for less then 13k if you know what your doing. I know muscle cars are fast, but i just feel a watching a mustang cobra get spanked by a civic is pretty exciting. I know all this becuase this is what i plan on doing with my car... it will cost a little more becuase i just bought a clean 99 civic si for 11k 2 years ago, so it will obviously cost a little more for me to do this set-up. If you dont believe me go to yahoo and type in b20vtec, cr-vtec, or b20 hybrid turbo. Not dising muscle cars, just not my thing, but i do know what im talking about.

TweetI'll tell you this much.....I used to work for Steeda and those of you that are Mustang buffs know who that is. If you take a $4500 Mustang GT 88-93 5.0 liter, add some gt40 heads, a vortech supercharger, headers, cams, injectors, fuel pump, intake, gears, high pressure clutch, and slicks.....You would easily have a 10 second car. All of that could be done for under 13 g's.

I'm not knocking your car or telling you that 4cyl cars can't be made fast, because that would be an incompetent statement on my part. I am however saying that your claim that a 4cyl car could beat a musclecar for half the price is a false statement. I know firsthand that you won't see someone in a modded civic or integra spank a modded 03 Cobra. You might see them spank a stock Cobra but no way in hell could you convince me that they beat a modded Cobra. They run mid 12's stock. I've seen with just a Steeda exhaust & predator programmer add 50 RWHP on a dyno. That's with just two mods!!

Sure it's cool to put the average stock or lightly modded mustang or camaro in their place with a 4cyl. But hand me a stang and you a civic with $13,000 each to spend on the car and mods and there is no way that you would be able to touch the stang.

TweetI test drove the sentra SE-R Spec V when it first came out and that thing was pretty impressive. I was able to chirp the tires in 1st, and 2nd with no problem. Very quick little car! The last style Eclipses were absolute dogs though. It's a shame because the first and second gen eclipses were a hefty competitor. Now it's just a wannabe car.
