TweetI wouldn't pay that much to go out on New Years, nor would I expect my companion to... I always have more fun in smaller groups with friends. Don't care to much for big crowds and rowdiness. Your first choice sounds alot better to me.
TweetHere in Vegas the average cover is $500 at the hot spots. If it allows you two to have a memorable time then any amount is affordable.

TweetGo to the first party bro! Why spend that type of money when you don't have to? Plus what better for you than to be able to flaunt your woman in Playboy attire? Tell her you'll pick this year and she can pick next year.
Funny I've spent the last two new years at Walmart grocery shopping because it's dead then and there's no people shopping at midnight on new years at Walmart. Wow, I feel like such a white trash hick! HAHA
(plus last year I just moved into my house at 11Pm on new years eve so I had 0 food, I figured why not make this a white trash tradition!)
I don't see why people party on new years. I find it pointless. It's just the year changing over. Our calenders aren't even right. Why don't people throw parties when it changes from one month to the next? Or from day to day? Don't waste your money. Just my 2 cents.
TweetNever had to pay a New Years cover in my life so I don't know. I've always had the hook up when it came to that. But, if I didn't have a hook up, then I guess it all depends on who, what, where and why. Who's going to be there? What's going on that's so much better than the other places? Where is it? Why again is this place better than my the other choices? If it's hands down the best party and everyone you know is going to be there and it's the most hopping place to be, I have to ask...why do you have to pay a cover? Anywhere my friends go, they don't pay cover, EVER. So why would I pay if they didn't, and, if they aren't going to be there, where will they be?
That's what I'd ask myself before I decided how much I would pay, if I would pay at all.

And I have done the Walmart thing at 12:00 New Year's Eve. It's a ghost town. No morons to get in the way.
