Tweeti'd say both.. depends on the situation...
Invader
Protector
TweetI became restless from the hour spent researching material in the library & began scanning the room to take a break.
My eyes darted from table to table & stopped as I noticed, with grrreat interest, that a 'space invasion' was beginning to unfold.
Both participants are highly intelligent men in their early 20's.
One guy, Kirk, was sitting contently at a 6 seat, long rectangular table..doing research, logging in his journal.
Two other seats at this table are occupied as well.
Along comes Joe and as he sits right next to Kirk, Kirk immediately lays his arm on the table between himself and Joe.
Joe leaves the table to collect books and as he pushes out from his seat, the chair manages to end up slightly behind Kirk.
This annoys Kirk so he pushes the chair over with his foot & takes a sneak peek to see if Joe has gone out of sight, nonchallantly glances around the table to see if anyone is watching & moves Joe's belongings 6" further away.
Meanwhile, Kirk's pencil rolls to the floor & as he bends to retrieve it, Joe returns and puts his newly collected books on the table.. slightly into Kirk's 'space'.
Kirk sits up & his expression clearly states that he is horrified by what has occurred.
*nearly pees my panties*
His expression is priceless.
Naturally, Joe has no clue he is upsetting Kirk & adds insult to the injury by placing papers ontop of the newly collected books.
Tell the truth..
Are you Joe {a space invader} or Kirk {a space protector}?
