TweetI want to say that I am proud of our country. Im proud that 51% of us saw thruough the rhetoric, saw thru the liberal media's best shots at our president, saw through the unlimited and ridiculous promises of the moon made by kerry, and saw through the pressures placed on us by the rest of the world to elect kerry instead of the president. We did a good job.
Our president is a man of principle. He is unafraid to do what he thinks is the right thing, regardless of what polls or advisors say. He stands behind his words with action. He does not waver in the wind. Kerry, as we all know, is a proud Catholic..but he is pro choice; he stands right with our troops...but is against the war and for funding them. He says the "heart and soul of America is in hollywood"...
Had kerry won, we would have had the MOST liberal and FOURTH most liberal members of congress in the white house, hillary and bill back to persuade policy, and the likes of michael moore, al sharpton, and jesse jackson, kofi annan and the UN, france, jacques chirac, and germany on the "team". oh yeah, and Im sure bin laden wouldve been happy, too. we would have had stem cell research wide open, gay marriages, and late-term abortions being real possibilities with the morals-devoid crew of kerry-edwards.
Instead, we have don rumsfeld, colin powell, condi rice, tommy franks, john ashcroft. I prefer the latter team when dealing with thugs and animals that want to kill our children just because they are American.
By the same token, i realize that it is in our nation's nature to fight to the bitter end about ANY issue. This is why we left England way back, if you'll remember, and to a large degree why we beat the then all-powerful british army with a bunch of farmers in the 1770's. the USA will not ever back down from a fight from any one any where. the world has yet to learn that, and our elections should be an example to them. yes, we fuss and fight, but look at 9-11, when it comes down to it we always pull together when threatened by an outside force. Its OK for us to have spirited debate here, but an outsider should stay just that way, outside.

Do not fear death.... fear the inadequate life that proceeds it..
TweetI am not proud. Americans are lazy.
Most don't even take the time to registar to vote. Of those many don't even vote. It gets worse--- As many Americans simply watch the TV and then vote.
Almost ZERO effort is put into choosing who to vote for.
PL, T-Man, Fuzo, Jester Did any of you even take the time to find out about the other Presidental canidates? Other than what the media feed you? Nader, Badnerick and a few more.
I am amazed that Americans are so diverse in everthing. But when it comes to politics its 50% red and 50% blue.
TweetBush has principle allright! LOL. That is one of the funniest things i have heard!
He has made a career out of lying and cheating. Now he is doing it to the american people! Not that Kerry is any better, but lets not make this guy sound like a god!
TweetBush does have principle. He is the best man for the current job and situation. I am glad he was re-elected because now the gloves can really come off and he can take care of business over there with less political heat here by the liberals that use scare tactics and pacifism to attempt to weaken our position in the world.

I'll start a new post but I'll add to this one.
The year prior to 2001 the Center of Dieses control reports the leading preventable causes of death in 2000 were tobacco (435000 deaths; 18.1% of total US deaths), poor diet and physical inactivity (400000 deaths; 16.6%), and alcohol consumption (85000 deaths; 3.5%). Other actual causes of death were microbial agents (75000), toxic agents (55000), motor vehicle crashes (43000), sexual behaviors (20000), and illicit use of drugs (17000). Once again I want to ask, did you know somebody that has died from one of these preventable causes? I would dare say the answer is yes. Since September 11, 2001 well over 2,700,000 Americans have died from tobacco, obesity, and alcohol use. How is this stupid? Americans have allowed the government to spend over $150,000,000,000 dollars on just the “war on terrorism” in Iraq. Will the war in Iraq help prevent or stop any of the top preventable deaths in the United States? No, and that is why were/are scared stupid. I end this paragraph with, 38% * of the deaths in 2001 were EASLY preventable. 9-11 only accounted for 0.001% of the deaths that year.
The war on drugs and now the war on terrorism has been a total failure. Countless BILLIONS of dollars have been wasted. How about a war on smoking? How about teaching parents that a 5 year old should not tip the scales at 150lbs? etc etc We should focus on whats preventable. We can also prevent terrorism in the US by securing our borders.

Tweetya know, ryker...you're right. that .001%..those nearly 3000 innocent men, women and kids who were murdered on 9/11 shouldnt matter. the economic disruption and emotional damage caused to ALL 270 MILLION AMERICANS shouldnt matter. Lets just forget about 9/11 and the "totally failed war on terror" and tell our troops that they're not fighting for anything that matters much, come on home boys--9/11 and the thugs that behead people just for being a foreigner dont really matter. We should really focus on stop smoking programs, passing out condoms in high school, and alcohol rehab. oh yeah, the government should redirect the FBI to locate the seriously overweight to help them with their menu choices.
Ill be really happy to see my two cousins that are over in Iraq and Afghanistan fighting their butts off so guys like you can diss the "totally failed war on terror" and enjoy the liberty to complain and moan as they fight to keep people out of our country that want to behead you and me just because we're Americans.....sounds good to me.

TweetTell me, or SHOW me, how The war in Iraq had anything to do with 9/11. The bush administration has failed to do so, so i doubt you can

or we can just go to iraq and kill 100000 innocent civilians..3,000 americans for 100000 iraqi's that seems fair..thats why they hate us so much..the thugs that behead people behead muslim iraqis too not just foreigners.
I know 3 seperate families who had a family member die in 9-11 and all of them oppose the war in iraq..it has nothiong to do with terrorism..well actually maybe now it does
Tweetlest we forget, gentlemen, that we--the good guys--didnt start this thing. let's not try and justify the acts of barbarians by saying the USA is pushing them to extremism. let's not try and justify murder. if the insurgents were to stop and surrender in iraq, everything would be cool. the blood is on the terrorists and insurgent's hands in iraq, not ours. they started the fight, they're still resisting and shooting up the streets, our brave soldiers are trying to stop them. also, i guarantee our soldiers are more careful about who and what they hit than the bad guys are. but we ARE going to end it, with a democratic iraq.
Oh, and read the 9-11 commission report.

TweetStill, nobody has evr showed me a direct link between this war and 9/11. Just an excuse. Then they blame it on imaginary weapons of mass destruction! If WMD was the true reason, why are we not at war with south Korea? Or Pakistan? they dont even try and hide it.
TweetHey PL did you know that the one who flew the plains on 9-11 died that day?
How about that most of them came for Saudi Arabi?
I do think you are brainwashed by the media.. Those "insurgents" as the media are calling them are just defending there home land. If China was to attack the US and label Atlanta as a "harbor for terrosism" then I guess I would be called an "insurgent"
I would suggest that you look into the type of propaganda that ****** used and compare that to what Bush has done. LIES and more LIES.
