Eager to validate John Kerry's charges that Bush failed to capture him at Tora Bora, Osama Bin-Laden makes a surprise appearance on a video four days before the election. I will let the pundits debate which candidate will be helped by the video, because I want to analyze what Bin-Laden said to the American people. For the first time since 9/11, Bin-Laden is taking credit for the attacks and telling us what we should do "to avoid another Manhattan" (For Michael Moore who doesn't believe there is a terror threat, Osama was not speaking at an AA meeting).

The first striking statement oddly enough was about freedom. "I tell you that security is a major pillar of human life. Free men do not renounce their security, irrespective of Bush's claims that we hate freedom." I guess according to Bin-Laden the Taliban was a model of freedom, burquas and all. Or maybe he means the freedom to impose Islamic law on the whole world, which answers the question "Let him (Bush) tell us why we did not attack Sweden". I'll answer it for him. Sweden is not a threat to their diabolical plans for a Sharia ruled world, the United States is. For those who think I am exaggerating the teaching of the Religion of Peace, let me remind you what Bin Laden said on February 13, 2003. " I also assure those true Muslims should act, incite and mobilize the (Islamic) Nation, amid such grave events and hot conditions in order to break free from the slavery of these tyrannic and apostate regimes, which are enslaved by America, in order to establish the rule of Allah on Earth."

I don't know if as non-Muslims we can appreciate the difference in rhetoric and substance between this speech and all the ones that precede it. There is no mention of Jihad, we are not called Infidels and Allah is only mentioned once as thanks and twice as the blessing "Allah rest their souls" for the 19 hijackers (I thought they were supposed to be getting it on with 72 virgins). College professors sound more radical than Bin-Laden did in this speech. I clearly remember the reaction of some on the left after 9/11, demanding that we try to understand the reasons for the attacks. Well, looks like Bin-Laden was listening. "The events which affected me directly go back to 1982… when America gave the Israelis the green light to invade Lebanon, with the backing of the US Sixth Fleet." There you have it. It's our fault for supporting Israel.

In a related article from the Associated Press, written by Salah Nasrawi, entitled "Experts: Bin Laden Courts Backers in Tape", the argument is presented that Osama is courting a new constituency: "young Arabs who are frustrated and disenchanted but not committed to radical Islam." I disagree. I believe that Bin Laden is speaking directly to the American Left, and using language they can understand and appreciate.

"…the towers in America must be destroyed so that America gets a taste of what we went through, so that it will stop killing our children and women." (Bush Lied Kids Died)

"He transferred tyranny and repression of freedoms to his son, and they called it a national law (U.S. patriot act) under the pretext of combating terrorism."

"Bush's father thought it was a good thing to put his sons to govern states. And he did not forget to transfer (election) forging skills from the presidents of the region to Florida to use them in critical times."

"It never occurred to us that the commander in chief of the US armed forces would leave 50,000 of his citizens in the two towers to face these horrors alone at a time when they were most in need of him."

"He reckoned that it was more important to preoccupy himself with the talk of the little girl about her goat… than with the planes and their strike on the skyscrapers, giving us three times the time required to carry out the operations, thanks be to Allah." (Sounds like he gives five turbans to "Fahrenheit 9/11", and I'm sure Michael Moore is giddy with pride)

The fact is that Bin Laden is losing and he knows that the only way he can turn defeat into victory is by getting the Radical Left in America and around the world to sympathize with his plight. I mean what's the difference between Bin Laden and Arafat, who is treated like a statesman not a terrorist, by the anti-Semitic French and like a hero by the Arab world. Osama is looking to negotiate an agreement, because after all he represents the cause of the poor and the oppressed in the Middle East and he knows that the only oppressed group around the world that the Liberals wont support is Christians who want to practice their faith in China, North Korea and the Sudan. So here is his offer:

"Your security is in your own hands. Any (presidential) mandate which does not play havoc with our security would automatically ensure its own security"

So from now on as long as our actions pass "The Osama test" we'll be safe. I wish I could say that Michael Savage is wrong when he talks about the "Enemy Within", but I know that there are some who would gladly take Bin Laden's deal for "Peace in our time' and that would be the beginning of the end.
