TweetPL456, you're a good man and I agree with you completely.
TweetA reminder friends,
Pornography is eye candy that will destroy your soul. The pictures spashed on the screen can become burned into your mind and may have the effect of blocking out everything else. In time, it can become a debilitating addiction. Be strong, avoid these temptations. This is an insidious temptation from satan to lure your attention away from what is true and right. If you need, get a filter for your computer to help you avoid this horrible behavior. We as humans are weak, but we must stand firm and protect our souls.

Happiness is a mental decision, often a challenge of huge magnitude but still no more and no less than a choice one makes each day. Time will pass and end for one and all, it's the things we think and do that will define us. The day unfolds before you, what will you write upon it's pages?- Chris Rice 08/2007
TweetGood post bro! It doesn't seem like it's harmful but it really is. Spiritually speaking.
TweetI saw Jenna Jameson on O'Reily a while back defending the porn industry. O out did her of course but he was almost drooling the entire time so he didn't do as well as I had hoped.
TweetIn our relative and secular society, almost any behavior can be justified.."well, it's not hurting me and others have a right to do what they want to do"...but did you guys know that around Christmas time, many porn sites add the words 'santa claus', 'toys', 'christmas', and the like to their websites so that they will be added to the list of found items on search lists? this is a direct attempt to lure children into their hideous websites.
taking this justification theme further, look at other social issues that are headlines currently that fall into this category...gay marriage, legalization of drugs, tolerance of variant lifestyles, even euthanasia. As I stated elsewhere, Europe is "leading the way in enlightened thinking and social engineering" in that the E-U is allowing these issues to become the norm for their societies. This is a recipe for disaster.

TweetI agree PL.....Good post
Tweethey PL. can u explain your feelings further please. like how do you think it effects people. i don't think it changes peoples values or morals for it has not changed mine. i am a very loyal and respectful person. yes i do have perversions, as any one who knows me here can tell ya but they don't effect how i treat others or look at woman. i don't hide my sexuality from my wife. she knows i look at porn and at times she joins me. again i'm extremely loyal and respectful to her. i don't see how porn can effect someone the way you do. yes i'm sure its cause of our religous differences its just i'm not completely clear on your opinion. and cypher feel free to answer too. thanks
TweetI'm kinda of with you on this one too Edvedr. And let me just say that I am a born again christian and I know that looking at porn is wrong in God's eyes. And yes it probably does keep me from walking as close with Him as I could and should but it does not effect my life here on earth with other humans. My fiance knows I look at things but I have never and would never choose looking at porn over having her (or any female in real life). My morals and values are the same regardless. It's not like I say oh I think pot smoking is OK because I look at porn or anything like that you know. And I don't look at porn outside of the privacy of my home so I'm not being a stumbling block to any non-believers either. So I too would like you to explain what you mean a little more in depth.
TweetYou said it yourself. Religious differences. The Bible says lust and adultery don't require physical touch, just thought. If you think about sleeping with another woman you have commeted adultery against your wife. If you have lustful thoughts about another woman, even one on tv, you have commeted adultery. According to God. That's where the difference is. Some people, like I used to, see it like "I would never sleep with another woman" or "I would never touch another woman in an indecent manner" but the Bible says the very thought of doing so is when you're guilty, not when you commit the act.
TweetGood Answer T-Man. Thats exactly it. While us Christians are on this earth we are in the flesh. We are capable of anything and everything. If an atteactive woman came up to you and grabbed your junk, id highly doubt you would say stop. Its alot easier to just not engage in watching porn and let those thoughts just go away. Its like a chain reaction, you start watching porn, next thing you know, your looking at every woman in the mall with a nice rear and rack. Theres alot I could write on this but the major points have been said already. However its our jobs as Christians not to judge, we are to love the sinner and hate the sin.
Chew on this for a minute. Says in the bible, that if you look at another woman and lust after her in your own heart than you have already commited adultery. Also says that if you break one of the laws like committ adultery, you have broken all the laws. Ill find the exact verse.

TweetCipher, it is refreshing to see someone as young as yourself to have good morals and good common sense, in this day and age I just dont see it with all the garbage they put on tv, and all the sex its like anything goes nowadays.I'm afraid as I get older these are gonna be the future and alot of young people just havee no respect anymore, alot i blame on the parenting, but still young adults know right from wrong. Sorry for the ranting, sometimes I can get fired up.
TweetThanks, but im far from perfect. I say these things from some experiences in my life which I would not like to revisit. All I can say is that im glad God forgives or else id be going to hell.Originally Posted by veggirl

TweetHere here! I have a lot of skeletons in my closet. The very fact that God sees me through Jesus and declares me righteous is just amazing. After all I did against him he still loves me beyond words. The very least I can do is make a stong effort to do his will. I'm not perfect but I repent whole heartedly when I do fail. I don't like to fail him but I'm human and I do. That's what makes him such a wonderful thing to have in your life. The friend who never judges you, the friend who never forsakes you, the friend who gave his only son to be a propitiation so that I may have etenal live. And the best part, it's all free. He does is all out of love, as long as you believe.
He truly is the almighty.
Tweetcipher point taken on everything else. but i take offense to the above statement. you said you don't judge and you just did. as i said i am EXTREMELY loyal. i said EXTREMELY for a reason. i've been in just about the most tempting of situations. i have had ex's beg me for ex sex. and ironically enough she did grab my junk. i have had a very hot girl.....in college....she had a boyfriend and told me she just wanted sex. she used to pass me notes in class tellin me what she wanted me to do to her. and in both these situations as well as others i said no with a smile. never even crossed my mine to make a different decision. and in both these situations i was not even married.Originally Posted by Cipher
