man, i just started working part time with a ambulance company.

2 days after i was hired they picked up the contract with the coroner's office here (some luck huh?)

it looks like its gonna get to the point where i'll barely be doing EMS stuff, bc this coroner thing is pretty much using up all our resources (small company to begin with and this is the county cleveland falls in so its pretty big) population is 1999 was 1,412,140

would it look bad if i quit so soon after getting hired? would it look bad to future employers?

the way it works is whenever someone in the county dies our company goes and transports them to the coroner. average 15 runs a day.

homicides, suicides, kids, high profile cases, collect evidence, everything - you name it. they've only been doin it less than 48 hours and one of my co workers is already fucked up because of it

like this morning some lady decided to off herself in her car in a mall parking lot last night and they had to go scrape her head off the roof of the car --- not the type of shit i signed up to do

i'm mainly concerned about not getting the right experience, plus i'm getting paid 8.50 to do this shit, plus i dont want to start hating life and being depressed all the time plus, PLUS i dont want to get all hardened and start treating my live patients like shit.

sooooooooooo would it look bad to future employers if i worked here such a short amount of time?

if i dont list i was employed there, would a Background check show it anyways? theres extensive bg checks in my line of work

      quit for sure,

it certainly is going to do nothing for your future in emergency services.i think it would look worse if you quit after 3 months.

get out of there. I can't believe they only pay you 8.50 to deal with freshly dead bodies. that is insulting in my opinion. i thought they made a lot of money doing that.

Quit and if future employers ask about it then just explain how it wasn't the experience you were looking for. Tell them you wanted more EMS experience and this job didn't offer as much as you would have liked.

If you hate it, quit. The longer you stay at a job you hate, the more demoralized you become. Trust me, I've been there. Don't be afraid you won't get something else because you will. I wouldn't even bother putting it on my resume if I'd only been there a week. Forget it and move on.

      Best of luck

i dont think any future employer would hold it against you for not wanting to deal with that job. its pretty understandable. and you would have to pay me much more than 8.50 an hour to do something like that. I dont think i would do that for 100k a year.

If the employment is that short, don't even put it on your resume'. A new employer does NOT need to even know about it.
