As for your car. It's really hard to tell. Did both tires turn when you turned the steering wheel? If not, then it's actually a good thing and you've probably only busted a tie rod end. If yes, then you've got some seriously mangled steering components which could cost up to $2000.
But if it only needs an alignment, a rim, a tire, and a tie rod. You're probably looking at $500. That's assumeing you're running factory steel wheels and tires.
