Tweetrespect in gyms is gone. hence why i lift at 7am
Tweetman i don't know about you guys but when i first started working out i learned two very imp things. always re rack your weights and never stand or walk in front of someone doin a set. for good reason it breaks there concentration. i don't ever see that anymore. including today. i'm doin military press drop set and on my last couple of balls to the wall reps and some smuck comes and stands right in front of me and starts doin shrugs with 30lb dumbells all wrong and at like 100mph. man did that piss me off. but just when i was gonna say something this guy next to me who was about 50 years old and in pretty damn good shape starts chewin this kid a new asshole. about how not to do that shit and really yellin at him. i just sat there and lmao. sorry for the long post just wanted to vent.

TweetI don't mind too much when I have to take other people's plates off, I've kind of gotten used to it since I lift at a Bally's , but what really bugs the shit out of me is when I see my girlfriend having to unload 8 plates off of each side of the hack squat that some jackass just walked away from after doing on set of half-reps. I snapped on that guy, but usually I try and use positive reinforcement, like making a point of thanking guys on behalf of my girlfriend when they remove their plates, especially if I've seen them NOT remove them in the past.

Your right there is no respect anymore. It come from sheer stupidity. I think all new members at the gym should have to go through a class on "gym etiquette" and learn what not to do.
Tweeti agree cirrus.....you would think with the time put into the gym they would know what to do by now
Tweetthat shit sucks. at least the owner finally did something....i still see people around my place do this shit and the owner doesn't say anything because he is intimidated..Originally posted by Cirrus2000
It was horrible, and this gal hurt her shoulder one day trying to re-rack everything. That's when the manager finally took some action. The guy was a "big guy" so he was "good for the gym because it made other big guys want to join the gym" or so was the schpleel the gym owner gave us when we'd complained, so he put up with it. Well when his employee finally was injured he took some action.
Tweetthat is a tough break, especially since she need it for college, i can relate to that one alsoOriginally posted by Cirrus2000
yep know that one real well sucks bro it really sucks....
She was a nice gal, friendly and cheerful and just making a buck or two before college. She had to give up an athletic scholarship because of the surgery she had on her shoulder. Was a pitcher for a fast-pitch high school team.

Tweethey good idea saturn. hey cirrus i totally agree with you. some of the big guys are the biggest offenders. just the other day i'm doin legs on the leg press and this 250+ guy has about ten plates on right next to me and i girl is waiting to use it. when he was done he just walked away and left them on there. this poor girl was tryin to get them off. i got pissed and told her to leave them there that asshole would come and move em. well i'm by no means big at 185 but i'm not scared of anyone. i went over to him and told him go over there and take the plates that YOU put on and put them back. and just when i thought i was gonna have the fight of my life he went over and said sorry to the girl and put them back. huh. just goes to show that anyone can be an ass. hey on a more positive note i'm goin to dinner with that girl on sun. think it wasa the whole riskin my life thing. and i didn't even hit on her she started talking to me!
