I bought 2 living christmas trees at walmart. Put some ornaments & lights on them. Gotta keep them watered then plant them on January 1. Started this tradition last year with a colorado blue spruce, planted it on Jan 1.

we did that when i was growing up too. now i use a fake tress since i live in an area that doesnt really get cold and they dry out and die with a quickness. we tried a couple years and it was a no go
