Tweeti would just let it go. you might get yourself in some shit if you try to get it back after you sold it
TweetWell I had a 95 jeep cherokee and traded it in a few years ago on a tahoe, well the letter said that they had my jeep and needed me to come a get it at a release pound, they said it was stolen and used in drug related activity.I called the ******ship here in Va and they sold it to a wholesaler and I guess did not fill out all the right paper work.Shit what r the odds of me being able to drive to NJ and get the jeep back for free????????????/thoughts

TweetI wouldnt mess w/it either. Im not from NJ but Ive lived here to go to college and you dont want to mess with NJ state cops if they find out that you tried to pull one over on them. Theyll call every cop station in your driving range and youll be pulled over for any infraction, and then some, for as long as you live on the east coast.lol
Tweetwell if the ******ship didnt do the paperwork properly, the title is still in your name. i would think all you would have to do is pay the impound fee, and its yours. tricky thing is though you probably dont have the title anymore..you could contact the DMV or Sec. of State, depending where you live, and track down the title...it would prob be a lot of work though...alll they are gonna do with it if you dont claim it is sell it at a police auction most likely.
Tweetooohhhh, another thing i would make sure you do if you're not gonna get it, make sure it gets outta your name....you dont want that to come back and bite you in the ass if something worse happens with that vehicle involved.
