TweetI have a truck and my middle seat folds down, so I carry under the folded seat right next to me. (Holstered) Completely hidden, but very easily accessible if I need to get to it.
TweetHow do you all carry your pistol in your car? I need one that is convient but out of the way and easy to get to

TweetCenter console I have an M&P shield and two extra mags in a mag holder. It is in an uncle mikes cheapo holster which I can clip on easy. I carry it sometimes.
TweetI was thinking of getting to padded magnets that bolt under dash. Do you guys think this will work?
TweetThere are some cool heavy duty magnets out there for conceal vehicle carry...the thing I don't like is it scratches the slide. I prefer hidden compartments.
TweetI ordered some magnets. Like always I read all the review
Tweetcertainly I will
Out of all the options this looked cleanest and best
TweetMy dash is all plastic. No where to mount a magnet and I am not putting holes in it.
My old jeep I had there was a lot of room under the seat. I put a sliding lock box there. When I get in I would automatically reach down without looking and unlock it before starting the jeep. When I got out, on auto pilot I would lock it.
TweetMy car is a 2012 Colorado truck. I keep it fairly clean but in the end it is a tool. My lower dash is plastic but I will figure a way.
TweetIf you cannot see the bottom of the dash and plan on keeping the truck you can drill and mount a plastic fobus holster to the lower dash. My buddy does this in all his trucks. Double sided tape lets go in the heat.
Tweetgreat idea
TweetSpringfield armory emp!
In the center console!
I would suggest velcro over magnets!
Or simply mount a holster!
TweetEMP is a fantastic pistol. One of the finest I have ever shot. I love the compact 1911 ergos. 9mm is plenty. I will say I still carry a striker fired pistol ion my car as if you carry cocked and locked you have to draw, take off the safety and aim (Practice makes perfect) and then fire on that butter smooth trigger. You have 1 step more than me. I pull aim fire and do not have to worry about it.
That said I sometimes carry a CZ75 C which is DA/SA and has a safety. (the best shooting gun I have ever shot)
