TweetNo doubt. Gym owners must be loving all the people who sign up for a year long membership and only go about 3 times before they are done.
TweetWell it is that time of year. They know pretty much how to use the equipment as they do this every year for a month or two but never stick. The problem is they do not go long enough to catch onto the gym etiquette. Of course now the squat rack will have some jackass doing curls with 10s on each end. We will have to listen to Karen on the treadmill beside us talking to her friend about how she has changed everything in her life for 2020. It is a loose loose for us regulars.
Who are the real winners?

TweetBro , I went on Jan. 1st and just as I predicted , every man, woman, and Asshole were there doing the “ resolution “ routine!
Oh how I love to see the determination on their faces, but I know that 90% of them will not tough it out, OH WELL, more space for me !!!
I was talking to this kid I train, and I told him to be easy because in a few weeks there will be tumble weeds rolling down the isles.
I said “ Bro, not too many can do what we do long term and be consistent at it, you have to want it “ .
We have a quick laugh finished up legs And wobbled our the gym!!!
TweetSame here guys. Sooo many people in the gym past few days. I’m all for people wanting to get healthy but most don’t make it past February. That’s another reason why it’s so frustrating this time of year

TweetWe get a lot of new people at my Muay Thai/Boxing camp first of the year. They come to 1 class and quick because they got bruised or puked from the training.
The thing is they had an easy day of it their first day. Anything you do to the max can be uncomfortable, if it is worth learning it is worth enduring pain and discomfort. Most just want self defense which cardio kickboxing does not give at all, but are not willing to take the bangs and discomfort to learn it. Let alone spar. I say 10% of the people who come to our camp stay more than 1 month.
TweetLots of new faces at my gym too. Most of them taking up space on the equipment, cell phone in hand typing who knows what. I've never seen so many people at a gym with their heads down and their noses buried in a phone. I do have respect for the very few that look like they're really trying and putting forth effort, but I can't figure out why the vast majority are even there. They don't look like they even want to be there. It's weird lol.
TweetI cannot stand the asshats who get on a machine and then take selfies to show they are working out on social media.
I have seen a girl go to the water fountain and spritz her face with water only to take a selfie like she was sweating......
If you are already at the gym, then just go ahead and work hard enough to sweat people!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
TweetYeah, it's crowded, but I get in such a one that I think I'm the only one there
