A male dog still should not do this. It is an aberrant behavior. I was a dog catcher for a few years in college and saw so many kids who had their face disfigured by a similar situation to yours.

A dog (unless a working dog) should be submissive to all humans. Otherwise it is a liability.

Glad she was not hurt bad. BTW, why was your ex at your house?

You are respectfully can have your opinion. Mine differs. All creatures can defend themselves from attacks. I also don't think dogs to submissive, I will take a healthy respect every time

Hey man, no offense meant. I have just seen too many kids bitten very badly by dogs who exert dominance like that. It was not self defense, it was dominance related IMO humble opinion. He was showing her she could not tell him what to do. He knew. They are smart.

Your dog man. Again, just my opinion. My take, dogs should not bite or even act aggressively to humans unless really attacked or in real defense of themselves, their territory and or family (pack) Trying to get a dog off a couch is not an attack my friend. It was discipline. Anyway, your dog, again i am just discussing with you my opinion.
