TweetI had one that always wanted to lay his head on my neck while I slept. It was cool while he was 8 weeks lol, wasn't so cool when he was 6 months...
U can put a stuffed animal his size In his crate and they will often snuggle it like they do u. A nice trick is to put a ticking clock inside the stuffed animal so it simulates heart beat.(-; such fun creatures but they will test your parenting skillz 😁

TweetShe is way better than I ever expected. She is so calm. She rides in my truck and just curls up in the front seat and sleeps while my other dogs are sticking their heads out the window and all hyped up. I left her alone in myoffice on friday for an hour and she didnt move from her dog bed, slept the whole time. Im amazed. The rescue said they never had a puppy before that was so calm. I hope she stays that way. Her temperament makes her so easy to deal with.

TweetHonestly, the ptbull is starting to get real aggressive and taking toys away from the other dog, like super aggressive and growling...What do you all think? Is it play or a bad sign?
TweetYea that's not good. The pup has not been trained at all most likely and its gonna take some work to get past issues. I never really had a pit behave that way because I started training them young. Now because I had 2 males and a female, I could not have my males any where near each other. I had to keep them separated 100% of the time. Both males could be around female but I had to keep them separate because there was no play it was straight fight
.I never tried to force them to overcome their issue and didnt think it could be done so I dont really have any experience breaking unwanted aggressive behavior, wish I could help more. Hopefully some of the other guys here have some solutions, YouTube has an answer for everything it seems so i would try searching methods to curb aggression in pitbull pups

TweetGood to stop it now before its habitual. Ive not used the crate yet but do throw beef jerkey in it and she goes in it. How important is the crate to training?
TweetI may have to just keep her supervised. I figred I could let her roam around outside, its 5 fenced in acres. At first I was glad they were playing so much cuz its exercise. But it started getting out of control. Maybe she was getting bullied and just reacted
TweetCould be, dogs will be dogs. Usually things dont turn real violent unless their is a dominance challenge, food bowl, fight over female or mate ect.... u may not be able to leave toys around them when they are together. Taking away the source that started the fights could help. Never let them just go at it hard, break them up, fighting over food is easy to avoid just feed them separately and give them time to eat. Never leave food down for them both all day

TweetGood to know They have been great and eat out of the same bowl and no food aggression. This fight erupted over some chew thing. Ive had dogs beat the hell out of each other playing, like crazed wolves and be as calm as can be around people. I figured thats how dogs play and wear themselves out. But for a ten week old puppy to go crazy ham like she did tonight was a bit disturbing.
Tweetgreat looking little pup. welcome to owning a pit. things you dont want to do. dont let her do things now you dont want her doing when she is older. like getting in the bed. getting on the couch etc. blueedge has great advice. take her for a short walk you have to remember she is young she can go on longer walks has she get older. the best thing to do is wear her out take her outside and play. also get her some good food not some cheap walmart food.. i free feed all my dogs they eat less like that. one of my pits sleeps in bed with the wife and i.
you need any info on pits let blueedge and i know. get her some toys something for her to chew on nothing to hard..
TweetApbt549 is right, she needs high quality food. Blue buffalo and similar high protein brands are good but expensive. If u live near a feed and speed type store you can buy high quality dog food cheaper at those compared to pet store. Those farm supply type places carry hunting dog feed and if u look at ingredients they use good stuff in good ratios for fraction of what pet store cost, plus bags are much bigger. Pitbulls ears should stand up, the reason they flop is because when their in growth spurts their calcium drops and without food high in calcium they flop. Some stand back up once dog is about a year old. But if u keep good food in her it will definitely aid getting her ears to stand back up.
