TweetHeart scan I would think along with a full panel blood work. You can get a heart scan for like 500$
TweetLets face it, people are dropping like flies to heart attacks. Ive had too many friends just drop dead...poof theyre dead. Young dudes even in their 30s. Its the #1 killer.
So lets talk about what tests we should get done asap to determine the degree of hardening of the arteries, and overall heart health.
-Stress echocardiogram??? Is that the best test to get? what others? How about a heart scan?
My blood pressure has always been low, thank goodness. I have low ldl cholesterol, but low HDL.
Where do we go to get these tests done? Who to call?

TweetStress is # 1 along with those other health markers. This is only my opinion. I have low HDL from 22-35 depending, the claim is it helps arteries flex instead of harden. I have good LDL too but that means nothing in way.
BP is good sign. High # below 120 and that is pressure at beat.
Most importantly it's the low # mine anywhere from 50-80 depending mostly 60. This is pressure between beats. We want low as possible. I used to have higher low # but not since I started high intensity training. I get cardio in with weight training instead of "cardio"... only my opinion.
But let's talk about stress and becoming pissed. Do we go check our BP during these times?? I don't!! Stress and flipping can cause artery damage that can cause trouble down road!!!
A supplement I use and read alot about is L-theanine. This stuff can help us during stress or if we stressed. I think all of us should know about it. Try it out, 100-200mg can be used during day in stressful times and 400mg at night to wipe stress away and get proper rest instead of being winded up!!!
Talking to our other and living positive helping each other to make things easier may be biggest secret to life that anything else.

TweetYes, I know what you mean. 2 years ago, I had a massive heart attack. I'm 47 now..I was 45 then. Scared me to pieces. The tests they ran were an echocardiogram and an ekg. As a preventive I have had blood tests done for cholesterol...regular blood test done and a stress test every 4 months.
Definitely go and get an echo. It will determine whether or not you have a blockage like I did. Don't wait man, just do it

TweetGreat thread
Tweetneed a calcium score done and check c reactive protein in your bloods. those are two tests not mentioned. family history is also something that is a must. if you have a ton of family members that have heart issues then you can bet that you will as well. that's the biggest indicator of future issues.

TweetMy insurance covers an ultrasound to diagnose abdominal aortic aneurysms. (had to look that up) I have done it 2x. They check that and in your neck as well as down near your ankles. The US operator says it can tell if there is a plaque build up as these areas tend to get it.
I am clear luckily.
Tweetwhat about that full body scan they show on the commercials all the time? that one is supposed to be under like 200 bucks and it checks all your stuff from head to toe.

TweetLet’s say you have plaque build up somewhere, what are the treatment options if you have a blockage. No heart attacks in my family at all, anywhere. But, stress, anxiety and depression are very prominent.
TweetI would start with diet & making sure to get in enough high intensity cardio. Another thing I have read in numerous places is that LOW testosterone causes heart disease. So am wondering if shooting testosterone is good for your heart. At least I hope so. lol
TweetStatin drugs are complete horseshit and will destroy your health. These medical doctors put everyone on a statin drug. Its a hoax to make money for the drug companies and the politicians who they are paying off
TweetThank u sir!!!
I love this group. We all read the studies and know they can be funded and flawed until they get result they want to pocket big pharma money.
Thank u for this thread I am changing alot of things for my future and health. I will get these test I hope when I go purchase life insurance policy for my wife and kids, a good one!! That's another topic!!

Tweetanother thing the cock sucking docs nor the pharm people tell you about statins. the fact that once you start them up regardless of dose you are a slave to that medication or some form of it from then on. just like a hormone it shuts down your own bodies ability to regulate cholesterol. so once you are on, you are on and their is no going back. if you are having lipid issues, i highly highly recommend nialor supplement. it did wonders on mine and mine were pretty bad

TweetDo you use 500 mg of niacin 3x a day or the brand nialor?
Tweeti tried the flushing version of niacin at 500 3x a day and it barely budged my lipids. after the first bottle of nialor and you are supposed to take both before bloods. it dropped my total cholesterol from 209 down to 153 and my ldl from 133 down to under 100. after completing my second bottle it was even better. i have since switched up to maint dose and they are still close to range with me being on a pretty hefty run again. when they came back close to being in range from this run i cranked it back up. i can say this and i am a firm believer, that this stuff is legit and works like they claim. i tried all the other tricks to get back into range quick and it was the only supp that didnt take forever.
