I guess our daughters response was not quick enough but she didsay to the teach :" My Mom tells me I should be a lawyer". Teach says.." I don't think that will work for you because you cant even come up with 3 things good about the Republican party". Nice huh? What makes me feel good is that she is uses her voice and doesnt get all pissy if she is not agreed with. I value teachers but feel no need to get on such a personal level.
we learned the political process and how government worked. it was required education. i dont recall at any point in my schooling being asked my parents or my own political pref. teachers nor the school system has no business teaching children about one political party or the other. it is another ploy to indoctrinate them into whichever side they believe in and most of the time it is the radical left. college is 10x worse but it is trickling down into high school and grade school more and more. i think the kids need a healthy debate and to learn but it should be on neutral ground. i dread starting up my courses next week because it is going to be very difficult for me to bs my opinion. fortunately i am optimistic that it may not be that bad because i am attending a military university.
