TweetI have to say that I am enjoying our daughter's experience in High Schoo, so far. She loves to debate, write, and loves history. In class yesterday they had a discussion of politics. Democrat or Republican. She was 1, of 2 kids, who stood their ground as a "Republican". Her teacher asker her " Is that what your parents told you to be?". She responded with "My parents do not tell me what I should choose". Teach asker her to give her 3 positives about being a Republican? I guess our daughters response was not quick enough but she didsay to the teach :" My Mom tells me I should be a lawyer". Teach says.." I don't think that will work for you because you cant even come up with 3 things good about the Republican party". Nice huh? What makes me feel good is that she is uses her voice and doesnt get all pissy if she is not agreed with. I value teachers but feel no need to get on such a personal level.
