TweetYup. True guns. I try to keep my three year old off the tv all the time. A show here and there is ok, just not all day long

Tweetyour right guns.. another thing i have seen is you have a hunting lease and or a beach house and the kids want to stay in all day and play video games. when i was younger my dad was a rough neck. he worked on the oil fields down here in south fla. he would take me out there on the weekends and holidays and i would spend hours out there just roaming around the woods..
TweetKids nowadays are so different from the way we were growing up. It's kind of funny when you think about it... They have the world at their fingertips, yet they don't really know anything lol.
Tweeti would have rather been in the woods all day than stuck up in the house. we used to hate when it would ran and we would be stuck inside. hell i have been hunting solo since i was 13 or 14 years old. i probably did spend more time in the woods growing up than i did in the house haha

TweetI used to love going into the woods and getting in a deer stand and just watching the wildlife. My wife at the time was always wondering why I never came home with anything, but I just liked to go, relax and clear my head

TweetThat old brown El Camino with the gear shifter on the steering column I had to drive when I was in high school. . Oh hell ya. 3 on the tree! haha
TweetHow about asking the kid in the Radio Shack for a stylus for your turntable? LOL! Ok, I'm going back a few years as it is... But all you get is a blank stare...
My 3 on the tree was a '75 Chevy van. Damn thing NJ used to get stuck between 2nd and 3rd all the time...
How about a "PowerSlide'? Nowadays you got 7 speed automatics - back then it was 3 on the tree manuals and 2 speed PowerGlides!

TweetOh man 3 on the tree! I had a 65 Ford pu with a 3 speed standard column shift.
rotary phones. There was no amazon for ordering stuff and it would be here in 2 days. We would order out of the back of magazines and you would have to mail a check or cash then wait 3-4 weeks for it to get there and it was never as cool as what you ordered.
report cards were a piece of paper that your folks had to sign and return.
There was NOTHING on tv for kids unless it was saturday morning or after school (or if you were lucky enough to have a kid sister to hold the rabbit ears just right, sunday afternoon you could watch reruns of tarzan, kung fu movies or 3 stooges for an hour. AND you were the remote for your 13" black and white TV, you wanted the volume up, go twist the knob.
We earned $. I bet all us older guys worked from when we were 12-13 delivering papers or mowing lawns or both. Kids are weak today but I bet that is what the generation said about us.
Tweetlol you bring up some good old stuff.. when i was a freshman in high school my brothers friend took us to school in his AMC pacer.. thing was like a fish bowl..there were guys at our school who had a 69 mustang mach 1, some olds 442 cars, a older friend of mine had a el camino that was pretty bad.. this was when gas was .85c a gallon. that road runner is worth alot of money now those old mopar cars went crazy in price...
