TweetWith some this is there mode on transportation. Here we have the Amish with horse and buggy. We have to share the road with them.
TweetGet off the road you bunch of dummies!!!
I get peoples desire to exercise but there are bike trails that are 1000 X more safe than riding down the side of the hiway or a busy street. Some people ride their bike right on the road and just expect you to go around them. People think they are exercising but they are risking their life. Just my 2cents

TweetI can relate to people who cant afford a car and a bike is their only mode of transportation but dang, for just exercising, there has to be a safer way than being 5 feet away from cars going 75 mph. I would be looking for a bike trail.
TweetI agree with you Dzone to put it nicely.
Dirtwarrior I have plenty of horse and buggies, Amish folk. Zero or not many using a bike as their only mode of transportation.
Some places we even have designated lanes on the side of the road for bikes but they insist on riding on the road.
Sometimes their arrogance and righteous indignation is astonishing.
I feel the same way about motorcyclists. So many shouldn't because they lake the maturity to ride responsibly. That's why I don't have one. I know how I ride, all out.
Riding down the middle of the highway between cars and such.
TweetWhat Im saying is if a person has a choice and all they are riding a bike for is exercise, why put yourself out their in front of a semi truck going 80 mph when there are plenty of bike paths? Doesnt make sense when people are out there risking their lives on the side of a hiway just to get in some cardio.
Tweetwhen i was young and my dad drove an 18 wheeler they used to play the knock the bike riders over game. they would move the truck just right so the draft would knock them off their bikes. absolutely hilarious

TweetI lost my right to drive in the 80s. Back then no bike lanes. I took a bike safety course and was advised to obey the same rules of the road cars and trucks do. Most drivers acted we had no right to be on the road and even passing us had to give us enough road so to get around us safely. I have seen some drivers ticketed for various things that put the bickers in danger.
Dudes share the road it belongs to all of us. When a bike lane is present this should be used. Road rage between bikers and cars end badly for the biker, but ends very very badly in court,
All I saying the road is for all just share it
TweetYeah they say.........
"We are just like cars and have every right a car does!" as they run stop lights and stop signs and ride 3 abreast in the lane at 15 mph in a 40 so no cars can pass. Makes me want to go GTA on them.
TweetAgreed, some of them just think they own the road. I prefer to ride against the traffic when I ride but I def ride safe.

TweetIveg ot a friend who can ride a wheely for miles and he is that crazy when he does it on the highway. He has dad so many cop chases and he's never been caught.

TweetIve seen guys on crotch rockets riding a wheelie for over a mile. Flying down the road on one wheel. Thats badass. There was a guy on here who did that. Remember that dude?
TweetIt gets aggravating sometimes when traffic backs up behind one or more of them taking up the right lane, but I'm usually fine with it and just drive around. However, there are a couple guys that routinely ride down an extremely busy road after work during rush hour and back traffic up forever. Now that shit just pisses me off. And you can tell they're not coming from, or going to work.
TweetAgreed common sense and courtesy from the bikers are needed
TweetWhen a bicycle rider is riding down the middle of the lane and you have to literally drive down the wrong side of the road to avoid the bike-I dont know if that is arrogance or just plane old stupidity. Especially when there is room on the shoulder of the road for the bike ..
