Fuzo has stepped back a little from taking our daughter to all her training. Which means I have added another thing to my schedule. It is a hard move for all of us. She, and her Dad are 2 peas in a pod, and so damn competitive they butt heads. Plus add the teenager years in there and a Mom who encourages her to use her voice. Anyway, it has been fun, and I am very chill so it is different for me taking her. Even though they both claim I know nothing about ball, that is my ultimate motivation to prove them wrong. So I watch, listen and ask the coaches questions. The other night I took her to her hitting coach. He works her ass off.. Constant reps! So he tells a little 10 yer old boy, to grab the radar gun and clock her bat speed. The kid is nervous because he is standing behind the net and afraid of getting hit. Our daughter says" Just hold the gun, click, and close your eyes". Her coach couldnt stop laughing and he is always so damn serious..."hit the ball hard, shoulders, hips, feet, and on and on...this one got him though and even the most serious need to just stop, laugh, and connect on a different level with kids.
