I went for the first time last year and it was pretty awesome. We actually stayed in New Jersey and looking over at the New York skyline was amazing. Walking through the city for the first time was sensory overload for me. There were so many people and buildings and things to see. Like guns said, I'd definitely check out the 911 Memorial. My first time riding the subway was pretty cool. The whole Subway thing looks just like it does in the movies lol. Being from the south, I was way out of my element but it was really fun.
