TweetI remember as a kid using the phone on the wall, if I wanted some privacy I had to use the really long phone cord and stretch it underneath my bedroom door all the way down the hallway lol. Man those were the days.
Tweetyeah and dialing. first time my son saw (he was 8-9)one he just pushed his finger through the holes like they were buttons. I showed him how to rotate the dial. He laughed and said why don't they have buttons? people were dumb back then..........I just laughed.
remember party lines? when we lived in rural GA we had one with our neighbors. you pick up the phone to make a call but shared it with 5-6 houses in your area so you never knew if someone was using it. I do not remember ever having a cross word with any of them about over use or such.
TweetOus had a clear knob on the bottom eight to switch over to the other line
