exactly, that's what my lady did for me both in dress shirts and my uniforms. we would get a monster sized shirt and she would literally cut the waist down into a nice v taper. same thing with sleeves, either put an expander under the arm or arm pit or sew in more material where it wasnt visible. huge pain in the arse but when you have a good one they can make it look damn sharp
