Dangit. I was running late for a date and was hauling ass in a red raptor thru a construction zone.. That cop was pissed. I am surprised he didnt arrest me. Double fine since it was a construction zone. Screw getting a radar detector. It would not have helped. LOL arrrggghhhh!!!!!
      Mandatory court appearance.
Oh, and try being mentally ready in 10 minutes for a date with a chick after getting ripped a new asshole by a cop...Oh , it wasnt easy, but I pulled it off . hahah

A girl I know did this in Virginia on the her to MD. She got a misdemeanor offense and had to go to jail PLUS a huge fine. VA treats RD (reckless driving) the same as a DUI!!!!

yeah man that is a fact. i lived there for a very long time. anything over 15mph over posted limit is considered reckless and 20 or more over and you get a free ride on the spot. i am pretty sure it is not at the officer either. i always call it the communist stare of va haha

Yes, I was lucky I didnt get arrested. It was my own damn fault. He told me the state considers this ticket like a misdeamonor crime, he said "Like if you assaulted someone" ...Another sheriff showed up and they were back therre taking and I was wondering if they were going to arrest me. I used to do that stuff in a corvette all the time. Driving it like a bat outta hell. I thought I was too old for that shit,

Why wouldn't a radar detector have helped? Was it a laser?

My radar detector just saved me another ticket about 30 minutes ago on my way home, right down the road from my house. The cop was pointing a radar gun at each vehicle and my detector picked up the one in front of me. I hit the breaks hard to slow down to 35, but really only got to 40 (speed limit 35) when he aimed it at me and shot it. I picked up the strongest Ka band possible, and he let me go by and aimed at the next driver.

I was driving through a big city, 4 lane hiway. I shot past the cop and I didnt see him in the far right lane in a MARKED cop car. He pulled in behind me and I didnt see that it was a cop and kept hauling ass with him right on my ass for a mile or 2. Maybe a detector would have alerted me, but kind of doubt it.

Yea, passing cops doesn't usually work out too well.

maybe if you throw yourself on the mercy of the court you can get deferred adjudication. it will cost you plenty but will not go on your record and you will have a probationary period you may not get any citations.

sounds like best case scenario for you

Yes, thats exactly what I have been advised. Here They call it a deferred sentence. Then there is no increase in insurance rates. Ive heard the increase in insurance for a speeding ticket is outrageous.
