more bad luck for mrs Jipped

TweetShe went to the mall on Saturday about 4pm. I did not hear from her so I started calling about 9pm. Nothing, kept getting voice mail.

now I am not the jealous type and if she is out with her girlfriends I am fine with that but it is courteous to call and let me know you will be home late, right?

11pm...............nothing

12AM...............nothing

my son is real worried

1:15AM call from unknown #. Caller identifies herself as a nurse from the E.R. heart racing........."is she OK?" I said.

To make a long story short. She took a tumble in the mall and smacked her head on one of those metal benches in the mall. Knocked her out cold. (Remember she has a totally torn ACL and a partially torn MCL and is scheduled for surgery next week her left leg is immobilized in a brace)

She was out of it for a few hours, not unconscious but goofy. Partially because she had a couple too strong margaritas at the chilis in the mall with her girlfriend and decided to shop at the mall for a couple of hours while she sobered up. (should have called me or our kid)

moral of the story..........don't drink and walk the mall with a leg brace that prohibits movement of the leg thereby reducing the ability to react to a step gone awry and causing gravity to exert itself upon the vertical body causing it to go horizontal with a fair amount of force.

She is home now, has more staples in her head than an Office Max store. amazingly she says her head does not really hurt too bad.

Oh, dropped her phone when she went down. When she got it I put one of my business cards under the case. Got an email from a lovely lady who said she found the phone and wanted to return it.

Tweetshe is OK, went back to the doc for a check yesterday. all is well. no infection on the gash in her head (malls are crawling with bacteria)

just damn expensive. tolod her if she goes out she has to wear one of these
