I've always had my own account. Even when I was married. Just find it easier that way

If you love her and it feels like life commitment, then yes...if there are doubts-NO...If she is a wife-maybe... girlfriend-no freakin way.

This is a great thread with so much great advice that personally pertains to each individual involved.

Significant other is too weird a term for me. If you discover that your money is being recklessly spent behind your back that could mean 1] your partner has different spending priorities. 2] your partner is just plain bad at handling a budget. 3] gold digger, lol. Apparently you still want to be with this person so you should suggest a mutual arrangement for taking care of the bills, needs and wants. You are definitely going to offend if all of the sudden your check starts going to another account.

On the other hand if you are getting grief over the cost of your supplements you should probably explain that it would be better for both of you, that you be solely responsible for those transactions.

I have always been the bill payer and have run Rake's business responsibly, but since we were married 30 yrs. ago I have never had a separate job of my own. I know when to cut back and when luxuries are in the budget. Super difficult subject to discuss but you have to be open in order to make it in the long run.

My sister and her ex had separate accounts for 8 years I told her he was a turd.put the cars in his name due to credit issues .he bailed and took both cars and all the shit they bought together in his name.halfs on everything and bomb he ran with it.

If u are looking for more the a shag partner I would suggest a sole account.I'm still mad at my sis for that shit and he does not pay child support.

      I'm venting my bad

Besides all that, if noone else is on the account and something happens to you it can become a mess
everything you say I strongly agree with. Unfortunately I don't feel all comfy and too secure quite yet. I jst gotta play it smart like my Pops advised. While trying not to kill feelings. Known this one for 4yrs and still aint got a good beed on her. On fuzo. I only had to talk to him once. you got nothing but real from him. Blessed

right on. I guess I have some things to work out with myself. and my fg folk.lol..I'm a good dude. I believe everyone knows if they're good folk or shady. In 3-4yrs I can't get a solid bearing on this girl though. So, I just am not the one to juggle my life on some optimistic hope when I still ain't felt that truth in heart. No more rebuilding my life. I keep stuff paid and keep good graces. No way would this one get handed a vehicle and credit cards in my name. uh uh
