Tweetto be honest I wish they had an alarm at the YMCA. SO many dumb asses dropping their 45 pound weights or less on the floor. I make a point of looking right at them and very gently putting down my weights. Unless you are doing some serious lifting (which these people are not) set that shit down!!!!!

what kills me about this is when jack asses are doing dead lifts and doing it. the eccentric phase of the movement is just as important as the concentric even for dumb ass wanna be power lifters. if you want everyone to look over at what you are doing or about to do, then let out a yell, they will look. it got so bad one day with the jerk offs behind me doing it that i thought i was about to crawl out of my skin because it was making me jump. so after i had enough i politely went over and told one of them that if they slammed the weight down one more time jesus wouldnt be able to save them in time for what i was going to do to them. needless to say they moved along and pretty much alter their times around mine now keep in mind this is also the same two ass hats that spent a full two hours squatting sub maximal lifts and videoing each set. doing the whole failing to the floor theatrics after doing a dbl with 235 or 255. you want to talk about being annoyed? i was supposed to squat and i wasnt able to that day and i got 5 different movements done and waited a full 30 minutes before giving up on squatting

TweetI have a very good friend who goes here and I am so happy there is a place like this for her. She feels comfortable there and it keeps her motivated. Everyone's goals are different. I guess making fun of PF is the same as people making fun of meatheads. My interest is super peaked with all the negative about it thatI am going with her as a guest soon and I am so going to attempt to get that alarm to go off as I shovel my face with fast carbs. This is just who I am though, always trying to look at things from another's point of view. Now back to my bubble...

i dont have any issues with the mindset or what they stand for whatsoever except the judgment free part. dont say you are a judgement free zone when you discriminate against so called meat heads bimbos or whatever group. also dont embarrass someone with an alarm when they break the rules. it is just as simple to have a staff member walk over politely and say if you do that again we are going to have to ask you to leave.

that franchise has also never had a single gym go out of business to date. so they have a clever and very successful marketing and business setup

one of the members here that doesnt come around much actually trains at one of these. well, he is close friends with the manager and they only let him come in after 9pm haha. i give him a hard time about it but it is super close to his work

got to be. anywhere where their is free pizza doughnuts and bagels. come on, how can that place not be rocking and fun? one of the spin instructors goes rolling by me one day with a box of kripsy kreme and i stopped her and said hey, what is this? when she opened it up it was veges in little round doughnut shapes. i told her that is seriously messed up but a great conversation starter haha

I asked my friend about this and she says she has not seen that by the one she goes to. She did say once a month they have bagels and stuff. When we used to go to Xsport they did the same thing every month and that is more of a meathead nightclub type of gym,lol. hence why we do not go there anymore
