that's what irritates me the most. if you send something that is just confidential in the military and get caught they will hammer your ass. i would hate to think of what they would do to you for something that is rated higher than that. unreal the people that have the authority to send you to die and can punish you arent held to the same rigid system of law. and to spin off of that, i had a dude get into to trouble for something he didnt know was against the law. at his court martial the judge told him that ignorance of the law was not a justifiable defense

I couldn't agree more. One mess up and a clearance is gone, or you're court martial, or LOR'd, etc. But those we elect or are appointed by those we elect get away with everything. Heck some of them probably wouldn't even qualify for a secret or top secret clearance if they were really checked out the way everyone else is.
