TweetYesterday's gem came from my youngest who was drawing Christmas pictures. My wife and I are sitting at the table talking about how someone at the company I work for lost her job. So I say to my wife " they fired her right on the spot, no write up, no final written warning, nothing just gone." And my daughter who we didn't realize was paying attention just looks up at us and says "bye Felicia!" and goes right back to drawing.

Soccer Practice last night.
We (my all girls team) are scrimmaging the boys team like we do at the end of most practices.
Two of my girls have brothers on the boys team so it always gets interesting when we play them.
One of these young men is on the same side of the field as his sister.
He gets the ball and and is just talking so much junk as she tries to steal it.
He is a better soccer player than her and he gets around her easily.
While doing so he is still mouthing off.
This happens another time with him the same result.
We have a water break and I shift the girls so that one of my best players is playing back and on his side now.
This kid gets the ball and tries the same stuff with her an she proceeds to absolutely school this little wise ass.
It happened no less than 5 more times. We know this because the other coach was announcing it every time!
At one point she chases him down and leans in very aggressively and the young man ends up on the ground. (whoops)
Of course at this point everyone is giving this kid a hard time.
She never let up and continued to "own" this kid until the scrimmage was done.
After the scrimmage he had a much more humble attitude!
