Wow, the look of sheer happiness and joy on Mr. Roger's face when the "child" showed up as an adult...it was just so moving. Mr. Rogers was the real deal.

what really moved me was the way Fred interacted with the child. There was a genuine sense of care and respect. Also the way the young man was able to smile and be a vessel of hope for others. The video instantly blew me out of my ridiculous self motivated concerns and problems and put in perspective what one person can do for another with a little compassion.

That was well worth the time to watch. I always felt Mr. Rogers was a genuinely nice man. You can tell he cares about others tremendously.

I just read his bio on Wikipedia. What a nice guy. He went to school to become a preacher but then was bothered by the what TV was showing kids so he wrote, produced, composed the musci for, and played in the Mr Rogers Neighborhood show. I only wish I were as compassionate as him.

He still did Gods work, whether he became a preacher or Mr. Rogers, he still spoke the word of the Lord to millions of people...to love your neighbor as much as yourself, that is what we all should be doing.

I had to stop and come back and watch the rest, i couldnt help get choked up. I wish they still played his shows on TV, he has a calming effect on people. Not even being in the room, just through TV. I used to watch him all the time when i was young.

wow that is some damn fine insight. my mom did not like Mr Roger's as he was a bit effeminate. does not matter. like you i feel he was a genuinely caring person who loved his fellow man as he loved himself.
