hypothetical situation. guy gets shot in the leg can't get up to get away. his battle buddy is a 120# gal and he is a 220# man. he is fubar. on the flip side he could carry her easily. at least they will not be going into combat with the men.

it's funny you bring that up. i was on one team that no one on my entire team could pick me up individually and carry me esp in full gear, they had to buddy carry me lol. what's funny is i was hurt twice on that deployment but was able to get out on my own power with no issues. both incidents one of my guys says man all i could think was we are screwed cause we arent going to be able to carry your big ass haha.

again you are pointing out the plain and obvious jipped. they need to and have to meet the exact same standards as men do. that's the bottom line

Bottom line is that if they are saying women can do it equal to men then create an all women squad and see how they fair against other squads. Imo it would be a joke. This is war, and special forces, makes no fricken sense at all. Same standards for everything including hygiene...yeah, let's handi cap a special forces team just to be PC or whatever.......
Dont get me wrong, women are smart, and tough as shit, but it just doesn't work.

I am totally cool with woman going to ranger school if held to the same standard. The standards where lowered and they where given numerous chances. If i go to ranger school I only get 2 tries then kicked out. Some of the girls got 3 or 4 and still failed. Only 2 passing. That is not good for the military that is not equality.
That whole class was lowered in standards and not graded as hard. Politics at its finest. I am sure the RI's where told that they had to let things slide.

The military is starting to get into that participation award bullshit that most of america follows. Its disgusting. These schools are for the best of the best either you got it or you don't, race, gender none of that should matter.
I never meant to be better than anyone, I was just born that way. Its hard being a god amongst peasants!

So there were dozens and dozens of guys that did significantly better than these 2 girls but failed out and they got through to handi-cap the SF's. Once again, makes no sense.
We could beat our heads against the wall all day talking about this...it's common sense. Typical of a left wing topic defying all logic.
I think the reality is though that they might let them through training etc.. but they will probably never operate.
Saw on the news that SEAL'S are excepting women now, wtf..?

gusto can attest to it as well but the standards have been lowered since we first joined up. the attrition rate in lots of schools is high but the standards arent what they were 20 years ago. when i went through a school that i wont name, you had to attain 90% for the duration of the course on everything including shooting. then when i went back to become an instructor at the school house you had to maintain a 95% or you were cut. no questions asked. then after i taught for a while the standards were dropped to 80%.

hell man, i just got my kids into school and they have even changed the damn grading scale. you can pass now with a d at 60%. wtf is that all about? 70 or above is what we had to have. so the lowering of standards is happening everywhere.

now as for the seals lol or even other sf selections. i am highly highly doubting very many females will be making it. you may have onsies and twosies but it is going to be a very very rare animal. that is as long as they dont lower the standards even further. most of these skill sets require a strong strong mindset and super high pain tolerance. i can personally say i have been covered in sand laying on a beach freezing my nuts off asking myself wtf am i doing here? and why the fuck am i doing this to myself? but i am not a quitter and i will go until i freaking die before i let someone make me quit

Total waste of time and money training females when they are not cleared for this type of duty. Do they just want to be raped: that's what will happen when the enemy sees that women are on the battlefield. They are crazy to want to do this anyway; do they have no self respect as women being the superior gender? I want every man to protect me and my children so that we are able to sustain a stable society. Bi***es be crazy.

As an ex Ranger in the 82nd Airborne........I give congrats to them....but they will never, ever serve in a combat unit, much less in the Ranger battalions nor any other Airborne infantry unit....or special ops teams.....it just don't work that way folks.

political bull shit.. if they passed like the men great but they didn't. they got lowered so they could pass then given several times after that to pass.. at the beginning of this school they were going to have a female ranger..

we want our sf to be the badest on the planet and you don't get that by lowering the standards...

I'm glad there are a lot of others out there that have the same opinion as I do. I agree with a lot of what was said in prior posts. I am a army vet and it disappoints me to see standards diluted to please a few. I am sure there are some woman out there that could pass the standards in a legitimate way. That would be the only way I would feel comfortable with my battle buddy sitting in the trenches to the left and right of me knowing that they went through and passed the exact same training as I did. So much conflict of interest here. I have been in infantry and artillery units throughout my military career and I can't agree more with many of these posts.

It's this whole "girl power" thing where females are told they can do anything a man can do. guess what, we are different. There are many things a woman can do just as good if not better than a man but fighting is not one of them. yes there are strong women out there. i do crossfit and I workout with beast women who make me look like a poodle among pitbulls. but the elite guys crush the elite gals.

again we are different. instead of being honest about the sexes our society weakens itself with lies. even the looser gets a trophy syndrome.

it is feminism, they want to be equal even if they lower standards which clearly shows these ladies are not. they get the trophy.

i love the way you put that jipped. that sums it up pretty well. i will add this: we are equal as human beings but we are not all equal in abilities. idk why the fuck a woman would want to do some things that men do. i also dont find it very femine for them to do so either. i always go back to the women in combat as simple logistics. i can go 3-4-5 months without bathing and not have any health issues whatsoever. the ladies cant do this which in turn causes logistical concerns that arent necessary. all this crap makes my head spin just like the race thing does. no one cares what color or where you come from anymore as long as you act like a human being, you are treated equally

very nice point. many femanists feel they have something to prove. this is the only reason i can see. but our PC society it is frowned upon to speak the truth as it might offend someone.
