TweetHUGS!!!!! So powerful!!!
A little story of how I came to realize the power in them. Going through my life, I have touched on moments of pain that I experienced while I was alone. In my thoughts I felt..." I just need a hug". Well no one was there to give me that at that moment. The positive in those moments were that I realized the strength I had to get through pain and darkness all by myself. Remembering those moments brings tears, pain, anger, and ironically..strength. I still would have loved the hug and will forever give a hug when I feel someone needs one. As hard as it may be sometimes to give one, and it may even feel uncomfortable...do it, receive it and it will make you feel good

Tweettouch time...
In the same light that Baby just mentioned, last night I instituted touch time. When the wife and I go to bed, we just lay there for an non-predetermined length of time (whatever feels right at that moment), with her laying on my chest and me holding her. No preconceived notions or expectations of anything - even talking. If we want to talk, we talk. If not, then no one is offended. No length of time predetermined, etc. Just a time where we can touch each other without any rules, expectations, worries, etc.
Tweetall the people that help pick me up when I'm down. Blessed to have some great friends and family.
