TweetI cant even say what I would do but as a Mom, I can almost bet I wouldn't listen to the docs so easily either.
TweetMY BOSS'S SON GOT IN TROUBLE LAST TUESDAY AT SCHOOL...HIS MOM TOOK ALL HIS ELECTRONICS AND VIDEO GAMES AWAY AS PUNISHMENT LIKE ANY PARENT WOULD. WELL...THE BOY GOT MAD AND WHEN HIS MOM WENT TO PICK UP HIS LITTLE SISTER AT DAYCARE HE GOT A ROPE AND TIED IT TO THE BALCONY AND HUNG HIMSELF. HES 12 YEARS OLD AND HAS BEEN IN THE HOSPITAL SINCE HIS MOM FOUND HIM HANGING IN THEIR FOYER LAST WEEK. HES 90% BRAIN DEAD. THE DOCTORS SAID HE WILL NEVER WALK, NEVER TALK, NEVER PLAY, NEVER WAKE UP EVER AGAIN. HES GONE. THE ONLY THING KEEPING HIM ALIVE IS A VENTILATOR. HIS MOM WONT TAKE HIM OFF IT SAYING SHES EXPECTING A MIRACLE. SHE IS GETTING IRATE WITH THE DOCTORS AND NOT LISTENING TO THEM ABOUT HIS PROGNOSIS.
IVE NEVER BEEN THERE BEFORE, BUT I COULDNT BE SO SELFISH AS TO KEEP HIM ALIVE LIKE THAT.
WHAT ARE ALL OF YOUR THOUGHT ON IT?

TweetThat is so sad. I dont think I could make that decision for a child. Miracles can and do happen, we should pray for him. I was in a coma about that long but I didnt have any bad head injuries.
TweetThat's heart breaking

TweetThat is very sad, i worryaboyt what my gf son would ever do if he doesn't get the help he needs to.
Dream Big and create it...
TweetFor me since I'm not in that situation it would be easy for me to say to take him of the ventilators keeping him a live.. But in that actual situation like baby said I wouldn't listen to the doctors either. This isn't a decision that can be made right on the spot when the doctors tell her. She's in denial and doesn't want to let her baby go.
TweetEven when he does pass... the mother will never let go. It will always ache. They will need to take a long look at their life health (finances being the cornerstone) to see if they can keep him "alive". At the end of the day, she has to be the one to make the decision. Men (the father) can't make this call. It will only lead to a grieving wife who blames the father. Men are more logical about death I think (chemically). I have seen it 4 or 5 times now working with drug addicts (children) who had similar function loss/brain dead. It's sad at the end of the day... Very sad.
TweetI would have to send him on to god a better place I had to go threw this with my grandma Juanita it was hard but she told me after her sugery she was ready to be with Jesus
TweetI'm not a mother I'm a dad and I can tell you that they would probably have to drug me and lock me up before I let anyone pull that plug. At least for a while! it would not be a quick decision and I really don't think I could do it. I PRAY that I NEVER have to make that choice and pray for that poor family. No matter how strong or bad I think or others think I am, kids are my kryptonite. I literally have tears in my eyes as I read this, and just can't believe it was over some video games. So very sad!! What has happened to our youth when the absence of video games is so devastating to a child that he takes his own life? Parents....GET YOUR ASSES OFF THE COUCH AND PLAY WITH YOUR KIDS!! TAKE THEM OUT DOORS AND THROW THE FUCKING GAMES AWAY!!! My heart and prayers go out to the poor mom and family.

TweetI AGREE WITH DADDYDAWG...GET RID OF THE VIDEO GAMES AND DO SOMETHING WITH YOUR KIDS! SPEND TIME WITH THEM
GETTING TO KNOW THEM! ITS PRETTY SAD AROUND HERE AT THE OFFICE WITH EVERYONE!
TweetWhen we hear cases like these it should motivate us to spend more time with our kids.. We sometimes forget that we take our babies for granted .. You never know what can happen that one day our most treasured precious thing in the whole world can be taken away from us.
TweetI can't say what I would do faced with a horrible tragedy like this, my thoughts and prayers go out to this family.
WEll said DD and I know Fuzo would feel 100% the way you do. This poor child did not just do this over video games, as we all probably know. There had to have been many signs that this child was troubled before this tragic even took place

TweetYes, there are many many other things building up to such a reaction. DD is right, get off the couch and turn off technology.
At the end of the day , it's a hard choice to make but if you are sucking your souls dry, bank accounts, leaving everything to die while you watch your son "live" (at 10% of what life should resemble) there are even bigger concerns IMO. I hope my wife and I never experience this.
