TweetIf the idea here is to prevent overcrowding in jails shouldn't possession of ANY controlled substance receive the same penalty? I'm not a big conspiracy theorist but there is a stench of "Big Pharma" attached to this haha
TweetA new law in California makes possession of certain controlled substances a misdemeanor charge instead of the previously classified felony charge. Drugs such as heroin, cocaine and methamphetamine are now misdemeanors however if found in possession of controlled substances that require a prescription such as testosterone or a single Vicodin you still face felony charges if I read the measure correctly. Im not sure I understand the logic here. Thoughts...

Tweeti agree spray. big pharm is driving the idea behind this because it is taking money out of their pockets. to think you get more stiff of a penalty for having meth than test is absolutely absurd. cali is so lib i am surprised they havent made everything a minor infraction. hell it isnt even illegal to be illegal in cali so i would lean toward the fact that the big money people that drive the bus behind the scenes have a lot to do with this

I know it blows my mind BABY! And on top of it as the State works feverishly to take our second amendment rights away, this law downgrades theft of a weapon under $950 to a simple ticket!
I guess morale of the story, if you want to build your body and improve your overall health and well-being= felony; If you want to suck the life right out of you to where you become dependent on the government for support do to your addiction to powerful narcotics and methamphetamines= ehhh a ticket.
