Well I am due for a new vehicle and I am liking the new wranglers..I have had a pickup for the last 10 years so I am itching for something different that can tow my boat and is 4wd.
I feel it fits my lifestyle pretty well plus it will be nice to take the top off in the summer, go down the cape, etc...
What are your thoughts on these? I would probably go for the Rubicon. They are pricey but they are pretty cool.

I think they are great. If you dont plan on doing a ton of modification or spending a ton of money on the jeep but still plan to do moderate off roading or rock crawling and can afford to swing the extra cash I say go for it. The rubicon has a lot of offroad goodies that are worth the cash.

I have a grand cherokee and i love it but it doesnt compare to the wranglers.

I just bought a brand new rubicon hard rock edition today! Thing looks sick. Great add ons right off the bat. Wranglers are expensive but there resale is off the charts.
I researched til my ass off, and drove 3 of them.
I was so tired of pickups....

Im happy with the jeep for now and my debt will be soon all be paid off and my credit will be good again. I am waiting to see what ford does with the new raptor.

Love my jeep. i do not have the rubicon so i have 3.21 gears and no lockers but i still go just about anywhere. your rubicon will take you places you cannot even imagine a wheeled vehicle could go. my brother has a 2013 rubicon. 3" lift and 35" tires. we were on 4 diamond trails and he just drove up them without a fuss.

my jeep had trouble as I am pretty stock without the lockers and big tires. you will love it.

hook up with a local jeep club. they will have outings and you can follow experienced trail guys who will keep you from hurting your jeep and teach you offroad lines and tips.

mine is the red one and the silver my brother's jeep. run it stock a few times that will help you decide what you want to do with it. if you are pulling a trailer i would stay with 33" tires. you have 4.10 gearing now which is good but 35"s or bigger looks great but towing and gas mileage will suffer

Sweet man, I test drove some with 4.10's. I am not going to do any crazy 4 wheeling so I went with the 3.73's.
I will post up some pics soon

i did not think they offered a rubi with 3.73s. only prob will come if you put bigger tires on her. but if you are like me and stick with stockers it's all good. also you will get slightly better fuel economy on the highway. 3.6 is a good engine. like 80 more HP than the old 3.8 in the 07-11

you will love it. the freedom tops are so easy to take off. the doors are easy to remove but hard to get on. still fun to drive with both tops off and the doors off. i just dread putting them back on

What a beauty. I love that hood. I looked to get one but they are damn near $1000. even an aftermarket hood is $6-700. I have the regular rubi wheels and tires. My brother gave them to me. much better than the stockers with street truck tires.

One thing i have found among Jeepers is most stay out of mud. I went mudding one time. it was fun until cleanup. ^ months later i still have clods of that clay falling off in my garage. rocks are the playground. anyone can mud. go in and push gas. but climbing or descending a technical rock trail is so much fun.

your jeep is very capable. it will do things you cannot imagine.
