While i have an instagram and i like it let me tell you that its no place for younger children. Kids are so spoiled these days. I didnt get my first cell phone until i was 16 years old. I would NEVER let my daughter on this shit.
You get to like pages that interest you, so if you have friends with an instagram you can follow there page and if you like fitness pages you and follow fitness pages if you like cars you can follow car pages. There are certainly pages that kids should not be looking at. Instagram does not allow nudity but that doesnt mean it doesnt slip by time to time and doesnt mean there are not some pages out there that may not have nudity on it but come damn close. Young minds are very impressionable and especially a woman's I would not want my daughter thinking she has to post the same way some of these woman post becuase having 100k followers instead of 100 is important.
The internet and social media is a wonderful and all but scary thing. It also doesnt help that instagram is owned by facebook and i hate facebook and have no doubt they are collecting information much like google.
If you allow your kids to have instagram my only word of advice is make on and follow them, Watch every move they make, who they follow, who follows them and who is commenting on their pictures. Not saying anything bad will happen but as a parent i would rather be paranoid than not. Also remember you can message people pictures from one person to another without anyone else seeing.
I never meant to be better than anyone, I was just born that way. Its hard being a god amongst peasants!
