TweetSo Friday afternoon got to my gym right after work. Only two people there when I walked in. Convenience store dude and crazy Korean guy. This Korean dude has pissed me off since he joined. Dude comes in and works out on everything, with no idea wtf he's doing. One Saturday I'm doing arms. I do three exercises for bis and tris, 5 sets ea. I'm about to do my couple sets of warm ups on the assisted dip machine before the three heavy sets on the dip bars. Only Korean dude is using it, he's been using it for about a half hour while I've done 5 sets of push downs and I'm waiting another like 10 minutes all the while cooking down so after like his twelfth set, he finally walks away from the machine so in in the middle of my first warm up and I see him coming up and I look over and he says excuse me I'm using this. I say whatever, I'll just jump into the dip bars after one set. Fine. Another day, he's caught me on some bad days, he's doing DB bench presses with 25 pounders. Apparently he's watched some videos somewhere cuz he finishes his set and stands up and doesn't just drop the db's he literally throws them at the ground. I'm two benches over waiting to do a set of DB curls with twice what he's benching with. His second set again, he crashes these 25's onto the floor. Lost it, yelled Dude!!! Stop throwing the fucking weights! Good friends with the manager who's put up signs about please unrack your weights when done. My gym is one of the few left in this area that doesn't get upset when you grunt, or wear a wife beater to train in etc just asks out of respect for the couple of older women who work out regularly to not leave 600 pounds on the leg press when you finish etc so I've policed the gym a few times for newbies who load up the hammer strength bench press and then go do a 180 pound leg press and wander over to the hammer strength shoulder press and leave 45s on it and start to walk out and I'll say u finished on here bro? They'll say oh yeah and I'll say then unrack all your weights please, you must have missed the sign. Some do it and seem to grasp the concept and get with the program, some unload them and never come back. This Korean dude, never ever unracks. So Friday I walk in to do shoulders and my first stop is the smith machine which of course is deserted but loaded with two 25s. I see a bench press with 25s and the incline machine has 35 on each side. I snap and growl who the fuck is leaving their weights on the bar AGAIN!! Convenience store guy is on the treadmill, Korean guy is doing shitty looking cable crossovers. I know it's him. He looks at me and I'm glaring. Really?? You're not going to unrack these plates?? I change and come out and grab the 25s and slam them on the weight tree. BANG. I do my first few weights and see idiot has a 45 loaded on the top of the tree with the 5s and I just know someone's gonna break a foot if it falls so I go over and put it on the bottom with the other 45s. BANG. Then I finish and go to do DB laterals and I'm livid. Dude is now doing pec dec and still has benches loaded. So I go over and as I unload the bars in loudly saying lazy fucks! Can't even unload their ***** weights off the bars, goddam hate lazy fucking assholes like that. Treadmill guy is shitting his pants like he knows Korean guy is gonna get wailed on. Korean guy is just staring at me like huh? So as he gets on leg raise apparatus I click his pic and text the mgr saying this dude is about to die. My son has *****ed about him before too so she says I'm about 10 mins away, I'll be right there don't kill him. Right as she's pulling in he has walked out and she comes in and says I almost ran him over and says she's sick off dickheads like him so she's gonna suspend his membership a week explaining the rules again and if he still doesn't rack he's gone. I text my son his pic and say crazy Korean guy is almost out of here and he says yeah that's the dude who was letting random people in to train who he knew weren't members. I said wtf seriously? So I text mgr back and say btw Cody says this dude was letting non members in to train too and she said fuck him I'm cancelling his membership and banning him from coming back, thanks man.
Now. Don't get me wrong. If you're benching with DBs or shoulder pressing with DBs you're probably going to drop them if you're putting 70-100 pound DBs back on the floor but some dude with pipe cleaner arms throwing 25s on the ground? I hate your punk ass and I really hate laziness like leaving your weights on the bar when done. You can lift it you can unload it bro. So I got no sympathy getting this asswipe tossed. Ugh
Tweetsounds about like some of my gym shananagans i have all the time. i saw my strongman buddy snatch a bar loaded with 45s out of a dudes hands trying to curl it in the squat rack. told him if he saw it again he wouldnt have to worry about getting kicked out, he would toss him out himself. i havent seen that guy in there since.

TweetThere are three squat racks in my gym. About two weeks ago I walked in to do legs there's one person curling in the squat rack another person doing upright rows in the squat rack and another person doing abs in the middle of the squat rack and not even using the fucking rack LOL. I'm not gonna sit here and say I'm Mr. quadzilla or anything like that But are you kidding me. I understand that there's a few exercises you have to do a squat rack. I do my seated barbell shoulder presses in them because there's no other place to do it. And you know what if you can curl with 225 pounds I have no problem if you do curls in the squat rack LOL

I go to LA fitness, not the reason I picked LA fitness was simple. Where I live there is an LA fitness literally on every major street. Most of them are only a few years old at best and they are all very nice, they are much bigger then golds so you actually get to train where as at the golds gyms near you you have to take a ticket and wait in line.
That being said i live in a shitty part of town. The gym i go to is very close to my house and i go here to save gas, This gym is clearly old. I do not care about using old shit as long as it works. The management at this gym is the worst management I have ever seen and they have ran this gym into the grount.
First let me start with the employees. They are all hiding in the back bullshiting and talking on there phones and literally no one is at the desk every, i see people walk in and go stright in and train that i know are not members. If they are at the desk all of them sit behind the desk and talk. They wont say shit to you when you leave or come in.
Now let me move into the cardio. I dont think these machines have been maintained even once in there lives. All of them squeej and squeel and its guaranteed that at least one of each type of machine will be broken. There was one night i counted 7 thats right 7 treadmills that had out of order signs on them. Add the 2 bikes and the one stair climber in and you have some troubles.... Also some of the treadmills randomly sputter and if you are running at a fast enough pace its enough to make you come of balance and kind of freak you out.
Now let me move onto the water fountains. There are 3 fountian stations in the gym only 2 of them give you cold water the other one is warm, The water station in the mens locker room is also warm.
Cleanlyness. This is the dirtiest fucking gym I have ever seen in my life. the rubs are nasty the equipment looks like it has not been wipes down a day in its life and there is trash everywhere. Here is another great part. I have noticed gum in certain places on certain peices of equipment since i first went there, guess what its still fucking there.
Now onto the weights. free weights, If you want a free weight you will have to search for then, I do not have any fucking clue why these guys do it but I have nevr in my life seen free weights scattered literally all over the whole gym area, even in the cardio section. I have seenn people take weights to a station use them then bring them back but these guys leave them everywhere. Its a good chance that 50% of the weight station will empty and you will have to find the weights somewhere.
unracked weights. I went in the gym late the other night, it was almost closing and there was not many people in the gym. EVERY single piece of equipment that you put weights on had weights on it. I would bet my whole lives savings that if you went here you would have to unrack someones weights on at least 1 machine if not all of them. Wethere its two 10lbs or 10 45lbs they what ever there last set was they leave the weights on there. That pisses me off like no other. Here is the kicker, Just like bigdawg said, plates will be in the 10lbs slot, 5lbs will be in the 25lbs slots and they will all be mixed up. Want to get a 10lb weight? Ok but you ghave to take 3 plates off first. Want a 45? Ok well here take off these 2 25lbs and a 2.5lbs. Talk about lazy peices of shit.
Here is the last and final thing that pisses me off more then anything else i listed.... TRASH! there is a trashcan every 5 feet, yet there is trash all over the gym, Water battles, paper towels you name it. Walk into the locker room its even worse trash everywhere.
I use the suana after every workout to loosen up, Thats another reason I chose LA over other gyms. This suana's light is broken it has been broken since I first went to the gym and no one has ever touched it. The barricade around the suana is broken from morons putting there feet on it. Last but not least there is trash in every corneer of the suana, water bottles, tons of paper towels, shirts just nasty dirty little peices of shit. I hate this gym but it is just way to close to my house to go anywhere else.
I am not racist, but the stereotypes in this gym are so strong and its not even funny. You cant help but think something racist or iggnorant when you are sitting there wathing some of the shit that goes on in this gym.
I dont understand why and how people have no respect or consideration for others, not even the slightest bit. I mean YOU HAVE TO WORKOUT HERE TO! put the weights back put your trash and gun in the garbage and chill. If everyone looked after themselves and there shit the gyms would be so much nicer and easier. Instead my 45 minute workout takes 75 minutes becuase I can constantly racking or looking for weights. UGH!

TweetIt enrages me when people jump in front of elderly people or sick people knowing they are getting ready to use a machine, like they are being big bullies or sometging. A buddy of mine has cerebral palsy and does like a little circuit thing every other day. Everybody knows him there and that he has that condition.
Some dick ran over to the smith machine he was going to use while he was clearly walking to it and just sat there on his phone. I asked my freind if he wanted me to say anything to him and he didnt. I wanted to anyway but I figured it prob. embarrassed him, so we talked and he did something else. But that dude just being so rude to someone sick and worse off than him, rage just ran all over me, I wouldve knocked everyone of his teeth out if my buddy had asked me too.
Tweeti train in the am with and around a bunch of the old timers myself. i will wait on them all except one and i will even give up whatever i am doing if they need it except for the one. let me tell you about my favorite old guy that i absolutely will go out of my way to throw a wrench in his program. ok this dude gets in the gym for about 4 hours a day at least. during these 4 hours daily he will do 30-40 min of cardio and then maybe 2-4 exercises. now the kicker to his exercises is that he will spend 1-2 hours on a machine while he chills watches tv and he will even sometimes take a nap. so yeah i accomadate the older members for the most part lol. the one crazy old dude is 50% metal with all his joint replacements. he still gives it hell every day before work and checks in on me and my progress every day.
