Tweetgod bless him for his service jack was my moms dads name to he was in nam also his flag is in a glass box on her living room wall
TweetMy uncle, whom I was very close to, passed back in December. Since then I have been working with the vets in his village who offer a program where they fly a flag in memory of a vet. What they do is fly the flag first at the White House and then it is sent to the village and flown for a month in memory of the vet. It is also show on a cable channel all month long of who it is being flown in memory for. After the month is over, it is taken down and presntede to the family along with a certificate. I am so delighted that I found this program, and the flag will be flow in my uncles memory for the month of june, he was a Vietnam Veteran and I know he is smiling as he looks down!
Love you Uncle Jack and miss you dearly!

TweetSorry to hear about your uncle, baby1. Good program.
My brother was a marine. I went to his grave on memorial day and put a flag up on his grave. Always a somber experience. Its so hard to believe he is gone. Almost 20 years.

Very nice Trixie!!! Every time I saw a flag flying today..I smiled and thought of my uncle. I am going to be planning something for the whole family to go and view it and then have a lil get together.
