TweetMy Grand mother does the same kind of stuff. I just tell her to give it to my sisters. Older people worry alot about stuff like that. But we got to appreciate them, for all they did for us.
TweetI went by my parents last night just to visit them as i dont see them as much as I would like to. So we are talking and my Mom asks me which ring andother jewelry I want of hers? I have 2 sisters and a brother so she is trying to make sure everyone gets something. Then they are talking about other things to give away. Why do older people do this, lol! I know my parents were the type to have evrything all figured out for us kids when they were gone. They always have had life insurance for long term care so us kids would never have to worry about how to pay for thing. I am very blessed to have had the parents I have and I tell them this often, I only hope I can do the same for our daughter
My Dad finally bought a new big Cadilac back in 2007 and the thing looks brand spankin new. He has always taken care of his cars/. The thing is 7 years old with 21,000 miles on it!!! I bet he will leave that to none of us,lol. He also has 2004 Trailblazer with 68,000 miles on it and that still has the original brakes. Everything he has is ALWAYS in the best of shape. In fact he told me when he was in the Natinla Guard, they come one day to check eveyones things out and make sure they should be the way they wanted. He was called over by a Sergeant and told to take the weekend off, and then was told that his things were so perfectly organized so he deserved a leave!!! Now how is that for the old times, lol.
Anyway, when I left it of course bothered me a little but I know it is life.
Thanks fo letting me blab

TweetI grew up with my grandmother and I can say one thing for sure.. people get funny when it comes to money. when she was dying at home in hospice care every day after school I would come home to something missing until the house was empty she wasn't even dead and all her stuff was looted by her kids. prolly best your folks make sure they give what they want to who cause I have seen the wars that come .to this day I have no resect for some of my family for the way they went about things..
by no means do I think this would happen in your family but having a will isn't a bad idea really it just saves the bullshit before it happens sets lines in the sand I guess.
TweetI know what you are saying and my P's are VERY smart at planning things and have had things all set in place for years now. Just hate when they talk like this but I get it, ya know?
