Not afraid to ask for a spotter and spotters come over to help before you even ask. They just know. The walls have gym records of weight classes in PL and you look at it daily and aspire to be on the board. That marks your location, its your address. I don't have a gym membership, I have a second mortgage. This is my home away from home.

They are all over, people don't know about them. You won't find an ad for them in the paper or yelp, you have to know someone. I trained at a regular gym for years and peaked fast, mostly because of the rules or I snap off training partners faster than the next GOP recall on American Care Act. Now at 230lbs with the weights I put up, Im the little guy at the gym.

Disagree.
I am all for eye candy but the gym is me time. I am there to get stronger not stand around stalking the next piece of ass to walk by. Plus it puts women in an awkward situation. Some of them just go to kill it too.

You sound just like one of my buddies lol....

The first thing I look at is how clean the equipment & floors are. I can't stand working out in a nasty gym.

Come on now...if you can't contract something by touching the DB's...you'll never reach your full potential. Lol.
Re: What do you look for in a gym?
I just don't like to use equipment that has the last persons sweat dried on it..

I hear ya...just messin. But all kidding aside, where I'm at...seems like the dirtier the gym, the "better". But I spend most of my time at a family style health spa. It is hard to really get in to it sometimes when it feels like the whole place is staring at you like a bull in a china shop.
Re: What do you look for in a gym?
Don't get me wrong. I'm a old school BB & I love the smell & looks of an old gym. I've trained in places where legends have trained & there is nothing more Inspirational then to know that the same equipment your using was used by some of the Greatest Bodybuilders of History.

Re: What do you look for in a gym?
I like a bigger gym with lots of cardio equipment and big size area for free weight lifting. Also, affordable membership pricing and one that is close to home that I can walk to if need be.
Re: What do you look for in a gym?
equipment, price, but I get my gym free. free weights, dbs, all wat fuzo said.
Re: What do you look for in a gym?
DB at least to 120 And somewhere you don't get yelled at for grunting.
Re: What do you look for in a gym?
cost. i just want cheap. i don't go to the gym much to train. honestly i prefer a hole in the wall where everybody knows each other even if they don't have the newest equipment
