TweetI wish I could have copied it. I should have taken a picture of it. At first glance, it looks scary as shit. It had the FBI shield, Interpol shield, a picture of handcuffs, department of cyber security symbol...it looked and read legit. It said you are being watched by the US government and any future violations could result in jail time..It said "You are in violation of Federal law #26154722"...my computer was completely shut down and unusable...then it had a place to enter your 7-11 money card number...I bet someone is making some serious cash off this scam.

TweetYa both my girl and I got the virus on our laptops. Guy down at best buy said thousand of people fall for it out of guilt and paying doesn't fix it lol! To add salt to the wound!

I knew it was fraud right off, both are computers are wifi in our house and we didnt have enough security. Best buy geek squad had a program that will fix it and protects for a year.

Maybe they wouldnt back it now, but in the future, if the government wants to bust you for your internet surfing, they will probably one day do so. This tyrannical government will stop at nothing to frame people who are against them. All they have to do is say you looked at childporn and come into your house with a warrant and confiscate your computer, cell phone, xbox and everything else you have and throw you behind bars. You could be 100% innocent, but the government doesnt care if you are in any way anti government...They want to eliminate all opposition to the Obama agenda, and spying on you is one way they intend to do it.

Anyone else seen or heard about this? My IT guy said that 1/3 of all calls lately have been for the FBI virus. He knew exactly what it was when I told him over the phone. I could see someone getting scared and going to 7-11 and loading a money card with $300 and paying it out of fear.
These kinds of scams are on the increase so BEWARE

Did your IT say what the source of the issue is? Specific website? Companies being targeted? Liberals(IM KIDDING).

TweetNo need for buying special software. Start computer in safe mode or login to another account on the same PC. Run your free AVG mail ware and anti virus. It will find the virus. Then start the computer back up in normal mode. This happened to me and I knew right off what it was. Looked to perfect. You think the Feds going to give you a heads up? Lmao.
