TweetThat pic is actually quite a ways away from where I live, but the smoke is all around us here. So far no evacuations here, but a lot of people are being evacuated in surrounding areas. Its sad, especially people who are unable to go home and save their pets.

TweetWow, you should see the sun today. The entire sky is covered in smoke and the sun is blood red. I shit you not. You can look directly at the sun and it is blood red. Ive never seen anything so strange. I am going to try and get a pic of it and will post it. Bizarre
TweetAnother crazy thing is that unlike other natural disasters, many of these fires are started by people. Cigarettes, fireworks, serial arsonists, etc etc...We have had temps in the 100s with high wind and no rain whatsoever. You get a forest full of dried out pine trees and all it takes is a cigarette butt or a match and the whole ****ing place burns down...hundreds of years of trees burned to ashes in seconds...is that crazy or what...4th of July coming up and if someone lights a firework they are going to jail
TweetLook at this from a few hours ago. They said the fire is so loud it sounds like a freight train

TweetI was stationed at Ft. Carson for a stint, and we had 3,000 acres burn there one year. A tracer round on a night fire range started it. The smoke was so thick you could barely see to drive. Stay safe Zone.
