TweetMy next goal is to get 315 for reps...lol..I'll just stick to taking it slow for awhile<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<< I saw this!!!!!!!!
TweetThought I'd share this with my FG family:
A few years ago I had an accident at work. Pretty bad, herniation's in the cervical, thoracic and lumbar spine. I was told by "specialists" that I should not lift anymore, but instead pump the poison down my throat that they prescribed oh so freely. Needless to say I hated life and what had become of it.
Fast forward through some dark days and I decided I wanted my life back, got off the meds and took getting better seriously...originally I thought I would never be the same, but the power of the mind is, well...powerful.
My goal was to slowly rehab myself and one day be able to put up 300 again. After what seems like forever I achieved this personal goal today. I had some bumps and other injuries along the way but never lost sight of what I wanted to achieve.
My next goal is to get 315 for reps...lol..I'll just stick to taking it slow for awhile
Moral of the story is...Don't ever count yourself out, the power of positive thinking can take you far

TweetGood job on the progress ZooT. Overcoming the darkness is no easy task, and I feel I can empathize in that category. Congratulations again brother.
I'd go to planet fitness, but I'd hate to set off the Lunk Alarm.

TweetGreat job Zo0t !!.. Slowly but surely you've gained a lot of progress and with the determination that you have has made it possible to achieve your goals. You are a great example of not giving up !
Tweetdangit! you should have become dependent on the doctors.......you are taking $$$ out of their pockets that they could use to send their kid to an ivy league school!
congrats. that is a big deal. just take it slow and don't get overzealous and hurt your back again. seriously.............congrats
TweetAlways great to hear such a positive story. A big congrats to you Zoot!!! The power of the mind is truly incredible but the dark days of our lives are what help give you growth and strength. When you overcome these times in life, it gives you incredible strength and confidence that you can face, and get through anything!!! Keep on going and you will definitely reach your next goal!!!

TweetThat's awesome bro!! Having the determination to take back control of yourself is fantastic. I applaud you sir
More people should be that self reliant.
Tweetman screw that specialist for saying that. i am extremely happy to know that you were able to overcome what the doc diagnosed as a permanent injury. you da man...YOU DA MAN ZOOT!!!
TweetIndeed man..He wanted to do surgery, and I went back and forth whether to have it or not, knowing that after surgery I would never be the same but I was ready to do anything to get that pain taken away. So glad I didn't.
Thank you all so much for the positive words
