TweetMy parents are alive, not close to my dad at all but very close to my mom. Think I feel the way about my grandfather the way you feel about your dad. He's in the late 70's and lots of ailments.
TweetHey team,
I am getting a little worried here, my daddy is 70 now and he is going down hard core. He is not sick, but sure is showing strong signs of age.
My mom is 58, and she says that he may go any time now. She says that she will probably die with him---they have been married for 38 years now.
I dont know what I am going to do if my dad passes away. He has been my best friend my entire life.
Are your parents still alive and kicking? And are you close with them?

TweetMy Dad is 76 and Mom is 72. They have been married for 55 years this September. My Dad has heart problems but is a stubborn as a mule and keeps going. My Mom has been smoking since she was a teen, she is diabetic and I worry about her too cause she is always taking care of evrybody else but herself. I am very close with both of them and talk to my Mom everyday. They are at the age where they talk about not being around. I do feel that when one goes, the other wll probably go a short while after. I wouldn't trade them for anythng and they have shown us what true love and making a marriage work, is all about. I tear up at the thought of them being gone so I know exactly how you feel.

TweetMy dad passed away at 36 yrs old from alot of health complications. I was about 12 yrs old when that happend. It was devastating for me because I was close to my dad as I am with my mom.. My mom now is 54 and even tho she's a citizen here she lives in Mexico because of my grandfather who needs her since he is very old now and has health issues cuz of he's age.. I am super close to my mom and every time she leaves me I get more and more depressed, but I know she has to go. She comes to visit once a year or twice. Depending . I wish she could just stay here with me forever. I have tried to want to hide her visa and other documents she needs to travel lol but she knows me and so she hides them from me. Sneaky woman .. lol. I can't imagine my life without my mom and if anything were to happen to her it would kill me.
TweetI lost my dad in 2002 to complication of several strokes, he was 78. We were very close in the end after I pulled my head out of my ass. My dad was my biggest fan when I started racing and was at every race he could possibly make. I go talk to him in the cemetery every chance I get.
My mom is 76 and still alive and we are very close. She is remarried now to one of the smartest guys I've ever met. He has a double doctorate and was a professor at Harvard. I talk to my mom at least 3 times a week when she is in the country.
Tweetyes they are and i feel for those who lost either or any of them.

TweetYea my folks are still alive divorced. My dad says he isn't going to die because I get his inheritance. And that he thought me to work for what I have and not take handouts. What a dick. My mom had some cancer when she was younger and is sick all the time she will go in her 60's if I had to guess. I'm ready for it. We are pretty open and talk about it. We all know its coming and that's life. We all have a short time on earth. B2J just Carrie on your fathers legacy and everything will be fine. Circle of life bro.

TweetMy heartfelt condolences. Hope you are doing ok.
I lost my mom in November. My eyes are filled with tears as I type this. Most incredible person I have ever known in my life. I talked to her every day. I would give anything to be able to have one more day with her, just to sit and talk. We used to go for rides in my convertible on sunny Saturdays, top down, just talking and driving. Then she would get tired fast and I would have to take her home.. There are no words to describe what it is like for me. I am so grateful for everything she did. She was my mom, and I was/am so proud of her.
Appreciate and love your parents while you still have them. Thats all I have to say.
